whether I finished all my jobs.
He doesn't need to;
I'm the fastest runner in Alaria.
I always finish.
But from the way he glances
not-so-subtly
at the golden watch on his wrist,
illuminated by the house behind him,
I know he is thinking
about what else I have been up to.
