chp-12 "care to explain??"

Violet just stood there. What was she going to do about the issue. And for the consequences- she didn't give a flying shit about it. The reason she was pale, was for Alex. She knew her dad very well. He isn't going to spare her, and with Alex and Bella in the picture she expected the worst. She soon realized how much she miss  her mom at this time, to console her.

"Violet." Alex's voice reached her ears and she looked sideway just to realize she was clutching his bicep with her finger.

"Sorry" she wishpered.

"No, it's ok" Alex said while looking her. He took her hand in his and said "care to explain what's happening?"

"I don't think you should get in this....he isn't someone that anyone would like to deal....and since my mother's death..." she paused  and after taking a long breath said "he changed...he doesn't act like he used to be.." tears started to gather at surface of violet's eyes and Alex just squeezed her had in assurance to say further.

"We were happy family you know.." a sad smile lingered on her lips, Alex moved a little and carried her bridal style which got a quite sequel from Violet. "Continue...I am all ears" Alex said while moving in direction of her bedroom.

"We were always happy, we moved a lot you know....not within the county but around the world. I remember just bits and pieces of all."

"Really?" Alex asked amused.

"Yeah .. why do you think I am here...I once lived here... " She paused remembeing her time and Alex settled her on the her bed. She sat upright taking support of her headboard. She patted the place next to her for Alex to sit.

She was quite surprised by herself.

Alex just stared her. Joining the lines. And sat beside her. Again Violet surprised him by placing her head on his shoulder. May be today's trauma was big for her.

"Are you ok?" Alex asked her.

"Should I be?"

Alex didn't answer, they stayed there for the movement.

"Violet?"

"Huh?"

"Are you scared?"

"Should I tell the truth, if I am?"

"Yes."

"I am terrified." Violet voice was low.

"Why?"

"My dad.. " Violet couldn't understand what she wanted to tell but continued,

"Alex, I don't want you to get in this problem. I am scared to loose Bella and ...and you " Alex just stared her and then said..

"I can't leave you in this alone" Alex said stroking a hair behind her ear. "And you will never loose me...never!"

"Don't make promises cause .....when they break... it breaks you" Violet almost wispery

"I don't make fake promise....you know me better Violet" Alex voice was sincerest and placed a hand in her shoulder squeezing it lightly. A simple gesture made Violet relax.

"What was the agreement? And What did you sign?" Alex wanted to know. What was the cause that her to sign it.

Violet just jumped a little hearing this, and Alex noticed this and faced her. He cupped her cheek in his hand and tilted her head so she could see him.

Violet didn't wanted to see him, especially his eyes. How could she, it will again hepnotise her.

"Violet" Alex's voice was commending and concerned.

"I will tell you, but before that promise me something" Violet said not breaking the eye contact.

"What promise?"

"That you will never leave Bella, you will always take care of her and ...and even if I am not here and .."

"What do you mean you will not be here??" Alex's grip was unconsciously tightened around her cheek. Violet just placed her hand on his hand relaxing his hold.

"You are not going anywhere, do you understand." Alex was terrified. Not again. No one is going to leave him again. Past is not going to repeat .

"Alex, I am just asking you to always be there for Bella. I know you will be."

There was a silence.

"Alex, it was two years ago when I decided to leave from London and come here. I have lots of memories here. And I wanted to leave that place that haunted me. Where I was not able to find my mom anymore.

She died. My mom. She died in front of my eyes. Can you imagine, when someone die in front of you. Her eyes . ..I can still see them in my dreams...they still plead me to save her.  But didn't did anything for her. Her murder was in front of me. The gun in his hand, the bullet he shot... I saw it all...." Violet stopped breathing heavily.

"Violet I am here, I am here ....breath.... breath" Alex shook her and took her in his lap hugging her ensuring to calm her.

"You don't have to continue..."

"No, I want to.  You know the worst, the shot was not fired for her. It was for me...."Alex flinched.

She took my fate, it was me who should have died. And then everynight I couldn't sleep. I asked my dad to let get away from there. But he didn't wanted to look at me. He changed. He changed because of me. He changed because he couldn't save his Wife. His Bella.

So he asked me to sign a agreement. A agreement that states that I.... Will never have any contact and strong relationship with anyone other than my family. That I will come back whenever I will be called. That when I come back ...I ...I...was suppose to be marry.... someone who is chosen by him."

"And if not then...the consequences are..."
