I saw out the door and turned around and looked at the flat, placing my hands on my hips.

It was mostly clean, except for a few blankets that were draped over the back of the couch. I went over to them and folded them up and taking them over to the closet and placing them in a cubby.

When I realized that was the only thing that needed to be done, I walked out to the small back balcony that looked straight out into a small courtyard. And when I say small, I mean small.

The platform was maybe a foot above the ground, the flat being on ground level, and the flat across from ours was an arms reach away. What did I tell you? It's small.

I looked up at the sky and grey clouds greeted me. I grumbled. Of course, when I leave the most rainy city in the world, it rains.

Great.

I walked back into the flat and shut the balcony door behind me, just as the front door opened and closed.

"El?"

"Niall?" I asked, walking back to the kitchen to meet him.

"Hi!" he replied, placing an armful of bags on the counter.

"That was fast," I commented, peering into the bags.

"Sí, era la señorita," Niall answered, pressing a kiss to my cheek before flipping off the fedora and glasses I had given him.

"No Spanish!" I smiled and pulled the things out of bags.

He laughed, "Alright. But yeah, I just went down all the isles and pulled out anything really."

"No, really," I said and pulled a kiwi out of a bag. "Since when do you like kiwi?"

"Is that what they're called? I've never seen them before and they looked good. Plus, I'll eat anything so, why not?"

I shrugged, "Point made. And for the record, they are amazing. It's like candy, but good for you."

"Can't wait to try them! But first, can I get pancakes?" Niall asked with a pout.

"Of course!" I grinned and tapped his nose before pulling out a large bowl and the pancake mix. I placed the two items on the counter and dumped a good portion of the mix in, then adding some water.

Niall pulled his phone out of his pocket and tapped away for a second.

"Whatcha doin?" I asked, mixing the combination.

"Nothing."

"Yeah, right."

"Just, just wait," he answered, taking a step back, typing a little more.

I grabbed a little bit of batter and tossed it at him, "C'mon."

He looked up at me slowly, a look of disgust on his face. "Did you just throw that at me?"

"Perhaps," I said, grinning sweetly.

Niall reached behind him and put his phone on the counter before walking closer to me. He reached into the bowl and pulled the batter across my forehead.

My eyebrows raised. "You didn't."

"Perhaps," he grinned.

I shoved my hand into the bowl and threw it at his face where it splattered everywhere.

Niall slowly reached up and pushed the batter away from my eyes and he looked at me. "You asked for it, Ellie belle."

I gave him a questioning look and when he dashed for the rest of the batter mix, I ran for it. I heard the cupboard open, close and then the water facuet turn on.

I crouched behind the island and smiled when I heard Niall come looking for me.

"Ellie? Oh, Ellie? I have something for you."

And of course, I had to giggle.

Niall looked around the island and when he saw me, grinned and threw a handful of batter at me. It hit me straight in the face and I laughed, jumping to my feet and tossing some back, hitting him square in the chest.

I ran around island, holding my hand in the bowl of batter just in case I needed a quick fire.

"Ellie!" Niall screamed, chasing me and I grinned, keeping my eyes on him.

Within a few strides, he had caught up to me; curse those long legs.

He grabbed the rest of the batter and pushed it into my face and I gasped for air as I laughed along with Niall.

"So, that's how you want to play?" I said dangerously.

Niall raised an eyebrow and I raised my bowl up and over his head, pouring all the contents all over his hair. Some started dripping down onto his already covered face along with his shoulders.

I smirked at my work.

"I'm always going to win at this game."

"How so, Batter Boy?"

He shot forward and grabbed my slimey face and pulled it to his, crashing his batter covered lips onto mine.

My hands immediatly went to his gritty hair and I smiled agaisnt him, feeling him so the same.

I pulled back a bit and whispered, "You're right. You will always win."

"With you, I'll always be a winner, no matter what," he smiled, his blue eyes looking into mine.

I grinned and leaned in again just as the front door opened up and I heard someone come in.

"Ellie? Niall?"

It was Liam.

"In here," Niall sighed and pulled away from me and picked the bowls up off the floor.

"Hey guys and- whoa. What are you two covered in?" Liam asked nervously and I chuckled, knowing what he was thinking.

Apparently Niall was thinking the same thing and sighed, "Oh come on-"

"OH GOD, GUYS REALLY," Liam screamed and ran out of the flat through the door again.

Niall and I gave each other a confused look before I realized what Liam thought. I smirked, "Oh, come on, Niall. Keep it clean."

"Dear god," he sighed and blushed. "That so did not come out right."

"Niall!" I laughed.

"What? Oh! Dammit..."

I cracked up and grabbed a roll of paper towels, tossing it to Niall who caught it. "Let's clean ourselves up and then go talk to Liam. We have some explaining to do."

"Tell me about it," Niall mumbled and ripped off a few paper towels. "And Liam out of them all..."
