els POV-

mike hasn't been talking to me since i told him. he's been staying at lucas' house for the past week. i wish he could just be here.

he comes & gets his clothes sometimes but it's always when i'm asleep.

i was currently laying in bed, until i saw the door open, as i furrowed my eyebrows, seeing Mike.

he didn't know i was awake since it was still dark outside, it was only five am.

"mike?" i whispered, seeing him jump a little, turning around.

he walked to the closet, getting some clothes, as i sighed, sitting up.

"can you please come home?"

i didn't get a response, as i looked down, fiddling with my ring he got me for my 15th birthday.

"mike i'm sorry, please stop ignoring me." i got up, walking over to him. he sighed, turning around to face me, crossing his arms.

"i get that i ruined everything but please don't be mad at me, i-i'll go with you to college"—

"no." he cut me off, snapping at me.

"w-why not?"

"god you can be so fucking clueless sometimes." he mumbled under his breath. "i'm not going to college anymore El." he rolled his eyes, making me furrow my eyebrows.

"b-but it's harvard."

"yeah, well you had to go off & get pregnant so"—

"don't blame this all on me mike." i cut him off, starting to get pissed off.

"whatever, i don't wanna look at you right now El."

"i'm sorry that i ruined your life, but please come home." i croaked, as tears burned in my eyes. "please." i begged, grabbing his hands, making him snatch them away.

"you're right. you did ruin my life."

w/ that, he stormed out of the room, as i cried, getting back in bed. i curled up in a ball, soaking my pillow in tears.

i have no one. i'm alone. i want mike back.

"are you excited to be finding out the gender?" the nurse asked me, putting the ultrasound gel on my stomach.

i shrugged, looking down, as she nodded, smiling.

"do you want it to be a surprise? or"—

"i wanna know." i cut her off, as she nodded, smiling lightly.

"have a good day." she smiled, handing me the envelope, as i walked out with karen.

"when do you wanna open it?" karen asked excitedly, as i shrugged, looking down.
