Chapter Twenty Four

After she had left, the silence was loud and overbearing. He never knew how deafening the silence could truly be.

He wanted to punch himself for making her cry again. He can't stand seeing her cry, knowing that he was the reason behind those tears.

Sinubukan niyang kausapin ang babae pero hindi siya nito ipinagbuksan ng pinto. Ni hindi ito lumabas ng kwarto para kumain at buong gabi itong nagkulong sa loob habang patuloy na umiiyak.

Halos mabutas na ang dibdib niya dahil sobra na siyang kinakain ng kanyang konsensiya.

At ngayong umaga nga ay hindi pa rin ito lumalabas kahit inaya na niya itong mag-almusal.

Hindi niya alam kung ano na naman kasi ang pumasok sa isip niya para sabihin ang ganoon. Nadala lang siya sa galit at inis niya kaya't naikumpara na naman niya ito sa kakambal nito.

Seeing her almost naked in that boat, wearing nothing but a shirt, drove him crazy. It wasn't just a plain shirt, but it was another man's shirt and seeing her like that ignited something inside him.

Gustong gusto niyang sugurin si Andoy at pagsusuntukin nang makita niya itong walang suot na pang-itaas habang basang basa naman ang itsura ni Ivy na suot lamang ang tshirt ng lalaki. Marami nang naglaro sa kanyang isip na mga maiinit na eksena na maaaring pinagsaluhan ng dalawa roon sa isla.

Pinigilan na lang niya ang sarili kahit gustong gusto na niyang punitin ang damit na suot nito. Hindi niya alam at hindi niya maintindihan, pero ayaw niyang may ibang lalaking didikit rito. At mas lalong ayaw niyang may umagaw sa babae. Mapapatay niya panigurado.

Call him possessive and territorial, but that's what he is. He will never let anyone steal from him. He won't allow it and if someone dares to try, then he'd probably challenge him into a deadly fight in which he'd make sure he'll win.

Alam niyang hindi siya dapat maging ganoon pero hindi niya mapigilan. He was never been this possessive and jealous with Avery and that puzzled him.

Hindi siya pumalaot ng araw na iyon dahil hinihintay niya ang paglabas ng babae mula sa kwarto nito. Habang abala siya sa pagluluto sa kusina ay tumunog ang kanyang cellphone.

"What is it?" Bungad niya agad sa tao na nasa kabilang linya.

"You need to hear this." Ani Hacker kaya't napatigil siya sa pagluluto.

Pinatay na muna niya ang kalan at saka niya muling binalingan ang kausap.

"Go on." Pag-udyok niya.

"We had her manager investigated and we didn't find anything suspicious. The police also tried to investigate other men that has an involvement in her life like her ex boyfriend, the male model, and the dirty old man but they have found nothing. They even interrogated her co-models in the agency because they believed that it could be one of them after someone tipped of about the rivalry among those women."

"And did they find anything?" Atat niyang tanong.

"Nothing. Everyone has been cleared off in the investigation. Even her biggest rival, Gaile Briones has an alibi to support her statement." Sagot nito.

"So what will be the polices' next step? We can't go back in there unless the culprit is arrested."

"Actually, we did found something and we've taken some action to catch the suspect."Usal nito na ikinagulat niya. "I've hacked all the CCTVs in the studio building and I've learned that not all are working, like someone tampered it or destroyed the files. It was a dead end for me so I thought of hacking her apartment's CCTV instead, and there I saw him- her neighbor. He would always get inside her apartment, whenever she was gone. And because she doesn't have a security camera inside, we can't figure out what he was doing inside. So instead we tried to pay him a visit in his apartment."
