So, chapter twenty nine was great, even I agree on that. And when LILY KISSED HIS CHEEK! Ah, Jily goals. But anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that we only have about five chapters left in this book.
But not to worry! I plan on writing a book two (it's called Iridescence) All I'm going to tell you is that it features Lily, James and the lot of them but there'll be some changes of course (MAJOR ONES *wink wink*) and I'm going to add some Voldemort business.
Also, thanks for sticking with me for so long and stay posted!♥
The party that came after had been wonderfully organized by Sirius, with nice music, dancing and food that Peter had sneaked in. Even three days later, on her birthday, Lily still smiled when she woke up from a dream about the small thing that had happened between her and James after the match.
Lily moved to get up, but a second later, a head of golden locks landed in her face, as well as the weight of another body. "Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday!" Marlene sang out happily.
Lily moved her legs a bit and smiled up at Marlene. "Thanks, Marl." She moved again. "If you don't mind, could I get up?"
"Of course!" Marlene hopped off Lily's bed and Lily stretched her arms above her head before standing up. When she turned around again, it was find Marlene holding out a box.
"Happy official birthday, Lils." Shr said, smiling.
Lily took the box with a grin and eagerly opened it. Inside was a book she'd always wanted, The Summer Without You from Karen Swan.
"Thanks Marls," she said, enveloping her best friend in a tight hug.
"There's more," Marlene laughed, watching on eagerly.
Lily dug deeper and found a beautiful pendant with a jewel encrusted in the middle. The jewel was the color of a sunset and sparkled brightly, proving that it wasn't second-hand.
"Marls, you didn't!" Lily exclaimed, enveloping the latter in another hug. Marlene laughed and happily hugged her back.
The two girls got dressed into their school uniform and then made their way to the Great Hall for breakfast.
There, they were met by Sirius and Remus, who both hugged Lily and wished her a happy birthday.
"Look at this, Lily. Moony and I put our galleons together and got you something." Sirius said, handing Lily a small box. She opened it and found herself staring at a tiny toy stag.
"Thanks for this nice...toy," Lily said, hugging the two boys again.
"Oh no, this ain't no toy, Lils, this is an ornament." Sirius said. He took it out of the box and with a grin, squeezed it.
To Lily and Marlene's amazement, the toy burst into a song.
Happy birthday, dearrr Loveyyy
You are as beautiful as a doveyyy
You have me, you'll never be lonelyyy
Ohhhh, happy birthday dear Loveyy
With a red face and a small laugh, Lily hugged both boys for the third time before sitting down. Remus and Sirius sat down opposite her and began to eat.
"So, where's Potter?" Lily asked, trying to sound casual. She ignored the smirk Marlene directed at her.
"Oh he's coming Evans, don't you worry your pretty little head." Sirius said, winking at Lily.
As if to punctuate his sentence, the doors to the Great Hall opened and in walked James, looking as confident and calm as ever. He sat down next to Lily, the only available seat.
"Happy birthday, Evans." James said quietly, leaning over and hugging Lily. She relished in the feeling of being locked in his arms with his cinnamon/Old Slice smell invading her nostrils, as did he. All too soon, the hug ended.
