Michaels POV

"Mike are you okay?" Jermaine asked.

I was sitting on a very uncomfortable couch in Tito's hotel room. It was pretty crowded, all my brothers were in here as well as a couple assistants who was working with us while we were on our Victory tour.

"Yeah, I'm fine man" Huffing my breath out, I folded my arms against my chest and looked up at Jermaine. From the looks of it I could tell he didn't believe what I was saying.

"I know when you're lying, tell me what's wrong now because i will keep asking"

Dragging my hands down my face, i let out an annoyed sigh. Quite honestly everything annoyed me right about now. I was annoyed with the fact that i spilled hot sauce on my white shirt. I was annoyed with the fact of how hot it was in Tito's room, and on top of it being hot we were all crowded in here like a pack of sardines. But the most annoying thing of all was that Irene wasn't returning my calls.

I just didn't understand what was wrong? Did she not like the flowers and chocolates i sent. Was that childish? Maybe i should've gotten something more mature for her like a diamond necklace, even though Irene wasn't the materialistic type, maybe i still should've done that instead.

"Michaellll Michaelll" Jermaine started waving his hands in my face, immediately snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I've been calling Irene for days and she hasn't been returning any of my calls man. That's not like her at all. " Lowering my head down, i slumped my shoulders.

"Did you guys get into a fight or something?" He asked while digging his hand into a bag of potato chips getting crumbs everywhere.

I started fiddling with my hands.

"No! I actually sent her some stuff. Flowers and chocolates to be exact. A few days ago she called me but when I answered she didn't speak at all. Ever since then she hasn't answered not one of my calls."

Jermaine looked at me puzzled, I'm sure he was just about as confused as I was.

"Do you...think that she's seeing someone else?" I asked, secretly hoping that he would ease my nerves by saying no. Just the thought of my baby being with another man pained my heart deeply.

"Irene with another man? Of course not Michael. That woman loves you to death. Don't over think too much on this...you'll start believing the crazy things your mind comes up with"

I slumped back against the couch. "Well what else do you think it could be?"

"Hmmm" Jermaine mumbled as he placed his finger under his chin.

"When was the last time you called her?"

"Like a few hours ago"

"Oh wait! Doesn't she has that movie coming up. Uhhhhh what is it again?" Jermaine asked himself as he snapped his fingers.

"Ahhh yes! I remember now, city heat. Maybe she's been really busy with practicing her lines.  She probably doesn't want to be distracted right now"

Hmmmm. I didn't think about it like that.

I smiled, feeling better about that possibly being the reason. It made sense so I was gonna go with it. "You're right Jermaine! That's probably why."

Jermaine patted my shoulder. "See, don't over analyze too much. I'm sure she'll call you back real soon"

"You're right, you're right. I guess i was over exaggerating"
