Eight hikers going along the Rocky Mountains are not only foolish, but potential bear food. No one packed the bear spray. In all seriousness, they are ready to go on this journey together and are leaving behind their lives as teenagers and stepping into adulthood with one last hurrah. Nobody could have possibly predicted the man who stalks and hunts them like prey.
i'll close your eyes so you can't see.
this very hour, come and go with me,
death, I come to take the soul—
leave the body and leave it cold.
On the first night, the hikers stop and make camp at an abandoned lodge and this is where the hunt truly begins. This is where the prey can feel the hot breath of the predator on the back of their necks as they scramble and prepare for the inevitable. But in these times, no one can help them past midnight. They must survive in the only way they know how.
to drop the flesh up off the frame,
dirt and worm both have a claim.
They fight or they die. There's no other choice as the beast closes in and draws the prey ever deeper into his meticulous web.
