So, I wanted to try something that I did at the beginning of the book. I'm going to do both the twin's POV's. If you'd rather have one chapter for one twin then let me know. On to the chapter!
Chapter Eleven - Truth Or Dare?
Zain stood ten feet away from me with his arms wrapped around Natalia. I hated to admit it, but I wanted to be the one wrapped in his arms right now. Why did he have to play these stupid games? We weren't an item but we agreed there would be no one else and if one of us wanted to break things off, then we would let each other know. Zain completely ghosted me. That wasn't like him, I knew him.
"You need another drink?" Matt walked over to me with a red cup in his hand. He filled the cup up with vodka and cranberry juice after I nodded. I took a small sip of the drink after he handed it to me. My eyes turned back to Zain. What did she have that I didn't?
"Thank you," I took another sip then sighed. Why couldn't I be like her? I mean, I didn't want to be a girl that slept around but she had something that Zain and all the boys couldn't resist.
"I need to smoke. Wanna join me?" I looked down at the white piece of paper rolled up in his hand. I wasn't a smoker, but it sounded good right now. Matt smirked when I nodded my head. He grabbed my hand as we made our way to the front door. I snuck a glance at Zain as we made our way out. Our eyes locked for a few seconds until I looked away. Matt grabbed his jacket then placed it around me. I opened the door then stepped out. The fresh air felt so good right now. I pulled the jacket tighter around me as he lit the tip of his joint. He took a few puffs then passed it to me. I wanted to but I declined.
"What's up with you guys?"
"What do you mean?" I giggled when Matt raised his eyebrow at me.
"I knew you were fucking around but I didn't know Natalia and him were an actual thing," he coughed after he took a long hit.
"That makes two of us," I mumbled. My eyes snapped to his when he chuckled.
"Zain is fucking stupid. Hurting you like that. If it was me, I wouldn't let you slip away like that. What do I know though?" His eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at the ground. He took one last hit before shrugging and putting out the joint. Matt pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket.
"I thought you were going to quit?"
"Did I say that?" I couldn't help but laugh. My laugh brought a small smile to his face. I don't know why I got little butterflies after I seen him smile. I cleared my throat to get rid of the feeling. Matt slowly blew the smoke out of his mouth. I watched how his plump lips formed an O shape as the smoke escaped from his mouth. I didn't notice how hard I was biting my lip until I tasted a bit of blood. Matt dropped his cigarette then walked over to me. His placed his hand on my cheek as his thumb glided over my bottom lip slowly. I felt like my heart was about to beat out of my chest at this point. He stepped a little closer to me as we looked into each other eyes. I couldn't believe Zain's best friend was trying to kiss me right now. It almost happened the last time we were alone, but this time was a little different. No people or phones around to interrupt us.
"Matt, wait..." I was cut off by his lips meeting mine. His hand moved to my hair as he slowly kissed me. Here I was sulking over Zain and the next minute I'm kissing his friend. I couldn't help but melt into his kiss. He had the softest lips I've ever kissed. Well, I've only ever kissed one other person. Matt was definitely in first place.
"Hey, guy- shit. I'm sorry." I jumped away when I heard someone's voice. Sean was standing at the door smirking. "We're going to play some games, so yeah. Carry on you two." He turned around and ran inside. I turned back to Matt when the door closed.
