The warm water made its way down Beverly's backside, his muscles relaxing more and more with every second that had come and gone. Just down the hallway, Red listened to the water, sighing to himself as he finally let his eyelids flutter closed.
He'd helped a young boy today. He'd made sure he was safe, fed, and warm. Red felt content. With all of the bad things he'd done in his past, helping the boy restored what little bit of humanity had left.
Beverly twisted the knob, watching closely as the water stopped flowing. He reached for the towel, wrapping it around himself, as he shivered slightly.
It was then, that he realized that hadn't brought any clothes with him—and that he didn't have any clothes.
But could he ask Red? The twenty-seven year old man who was most likely sleeping at a time like this. And it seemed as though the clothes he'd taken off, were ones he'd have to put back on.
After he'd dressed, he walked down the hall, sending Red's bedroom a sad, yet grateful smile. Words couldn't explain how thankful he was for Red. If it wasn't for him—he'd probably be in Satchwei Park, watching silently as birds ate from thrown away packages.
But Red made sure that that wasn't an option.
