Her Triumph Poem

My weakness never did leave
But my strength covered it.

My pain never got lighter
But my healing hid it.

My fear is always there
But my bravery made me forget.

I have overcome the sadness, the pain, the weakness.
With the help of my one helper,

Who lives above me,
Who gives me strength,

And healing,
And bravery.

Who helps me to forget
My triumph is anew,

My perseverance has overcome
The struggle.

My burden I still remember,
But my relief has washed over it.

My darkness is still there,
But I have learned from it.

I have experience now,
But I am clean.

I am washed.

And I will not forget what I overcame,
Or how I overcame it,
Because it was a victory
That will stay with me forever.
