Chapter 2

Recap:

The warm water washes over my tired face and I feel refreshed right away. I have been deprived of sleep these past few months. My mind is either scattered with thoughts or it was too loud. Hopefully I can actually sleep tonight. Shaking my head, I set the wet washcloth onto the side of the sink and I turn off the light before descending the stairs. I see Mr. and Mrs. Green sitting at the kitchen table with a little girl and I smile at the picture. They all greet me with wide smiles and tell me to take a seat. I sit down next to the little girl and she smiles widely before saying,

"Hi!"

"Hi sweetie. What's your name?"

"Maddie. What is your name?"

"My name is Noah."

"That's a pretty name."

"Thank you. How old are you?"

 She holds up a hand and I take that as 5 years old. I laugh a little and then say,

"Very cool."

She giggles and then Debbie says,

"Sorry Noah. Yes, this is Maddie, our daughter. Our son Josh should be here any minute.", and as soon as she says this, the front door opens. I hear some clattering and then in walks the most gorgeous boy I have ever seen. My heart skips a beat and then he sends me a wide smile, making it worse. I think I just died and went to heaven.

"Sorry I'm late everybody.", Josh says and then takes a seat at the table, right across from me. I hide my face a little bit to get away from his intent stare and then I hear Debbie say,

"It's alright sweetheart. We have somebody that we want you to meet. Do you remember the boy that we told you about?"

"Yeah?"

"Well this is him.", I look up and I see her motion at me with an outstretched hand before saying, "Josh meet Noah. Noah this is Josh."

I look up at Josh and he is staring at me contently with a huge smile on his face. I grin at him, blush and outstretch my hand to shake his. He shakes mine and I feel a million little zaps erupt through out me. I think he feels it too because he looks at me like I am crazy for a second but then the look softens as he speaks.

"Nice to meet you man."

"You too.", I mumble and then we all start to eat dinner, which is spaghetti, my favorite. I take a helping for myself and then we all dig in. I can't help but glance up at Josh a few times. His eyes meet with mine a couple of times but I quickly look away before the redness can appear on my face. I quickly finish up eating before I head upstairs to my room and collapse onto my bed.

I was in the middle of getting changed for the night when there is a knock at the door. I walk over to it, only in boxers and t-shirt, and pull it open to reveal a very sexy Josh. He smiles for a nano second and then says,

"Can I come in?"

"Sure.", I say and move out of the way of the door. He steps past me and walks over to my bed, taking a seat and then crossing his feet under him. I close the door and then walk over to where he is sitting, taking a seat and pulling my knees up to my chest while I say,
