Chapter 6: I Need To Get Away.

   I slowly gave up my stance and slumped into the chair, hoping that I would walk out of here alive. I sighed and rolled my hand forward, signaling for one of them to start talking. Jessica jumped up to the plate and said, "Lizzy how long have you known my brother?"

   "I meet him back in 1862. I'm sure Vince can give you more info on that. I have a question myself, what is your real name?" As I asked, I looked over at Tear.

   "I was Vincent but in recent years I have had to switch to George because I was having problems with people remembering a Vince from many years ago. So please call me George."

   "Alright. Why are you looking for me George? I thought I made it clear that I never wanted to see you again."

   Anger passed through his eyes before he spoke. "I was looking for you so I could apologize but I see you can't even give me a chance to explain myself and here I thought you would have changed but I guess nothing ever does." He stood up quickly and grabbed Jessica's hand forcefully. "If your not going to change then neither am I!" He dragged Jessica out the door and into the night, leaving Jake and myself starring after them with horror filled expressions.

   I looked over to Jake and whispered, "Jake, I'm so sorry. I didn't think he would take Jessica. I thought he would have pounced on me but I guess he has become smarter. He's stronger then you and me put together so I suggest you don't try to track them yet. Let me contact some of my old friends that owe me favors."

   He nodded slowly while trying to comprehend the situation. "How many other vampires do we need to take down George once and for all?"

   "I was thinking five." I fidgeted in my seat while Jake starred blankly into my face.

   "Will Jessica be alive when we find them?"

   I sat there ashamed at myself. I had caused another death to some innocent soul. "I'm so sorry Jake."

   He instantly broke into a fit of sobs. I helped him out of the restaurant and drove him to my house where we cried together on the floor in front of my couch.
