I have two best friends, one night and one day.

they can't coexist, they wouldn't agree

So I keep them apart, where they should be.

Like fire and ice, they must stay away.

One side is bright always ready to play.

She stands in the light, I let her be me.

The other is dark like a storm at sea.

I tuck him away, I keep him at bay.

I sometimes feel bad for falling apart.

But the bits of my soul can never meet.

they are the pieces that fell off my heart.

And people should think that I am complete.

So, I will hide my dark little friend.

And with a sweet smile the world I greet.
