𝐍𝐎 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐆𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐀. No one could fully understand what was going on within the young woman's mind. Everyone had thought that Hestia was alright, that she was getting better and better every day. Juniper thought that with Hestia finding her family or anyone that she had a connection to. Everyone wanted to know what was going on with the young girl because they were afraid.

Afraid that she was turning into someone that she didn't want to become. All of them had met with each other, trying to figure out what was going on with her. Most of them wanted to believe that she just wanted to get revenge against someone that had betrayed her and made her life even more difficult than it had ever been. Others thought that maybe, just maybe, she was confused. That she had lost control of her powers in the moment she was with him in that room.

Everyone wanted to believe that she was affected by his betrayal in one way or another because they didn't want to believe that she had done it on purpose. That she wasn't turning into a horrible person. There were two paths for everyone in their line of work: heroes and villains. None of them wanted to see her go down the wrong path.

The young girl found herself sitting in a random hallway, her knees pulled into her chest as she stared off into the void. Like all of the heroes that surrounded her, she didn't know what she was doing. She didn't know what was going on with her or what she was going to turn into. There were so many possibilities when it came to her and her powers, and she hoped that she wasn't becoming something she didn't want to. She was afraid to become the person that the organization who had experimented on her wanted her to be.

Her dark hair was in tangles after she ran and pulled on her own hair. Her nerves were running a hundred miles an hour and her heart began to race more and more as the memory repeated in her mind. Vivid images of Atkin's burning body filled her mind, and it caused her to squeeze her eyes shut and dig her fingernails into her temples. Her jaw was clenched as she tried and tried to get the image out of her mind.

A gasp left her lips as she opened her eyes again, glancing around herself as she tried to figure out what the hell was going on. At the end of the hallway, she watched as Peter Parker and a few others his age were making their way down the hallway. For a second, just a split second, his eyes met with her's. Both of them stared at each other and he could easily tell that there was something bothering her.

But just as quickly as their eyes had met, she tore her's away and pushed herself to her feet. Her veins were on fire as she pushed herself to speed down the hallway until she found herself in a safe and secluded part of the corridors. Her back was pressed tightly against the wall and she tilted her head back, staring up at the ceiling as she inhaled and exhaled deeply. Her mind was in jumbles again as she tried to gather herself.

There were so many things on her mind, and she couldn't have someone like Peter catching on to what she was doing, what she was feeling. The fire that built up within her felt as if it was going out of control and all she wanted to do was lock herself away and not have to deal with the fact that she could possibly harm someone else.

She glanced down to her hands, seeing visible smoke and embers beginning to form. Hestia was quick to clench her fist and hold them tightly against her chest. There couldn't be another incident, there just couldn't.

As she was pressed up against the wall, she remembered something. She remembered that Fayre and the others had told her about, something about a room where they sometimes kept Fawn Galloway when her powers weren't under her own control. Hestia knew that if there was anywhere that would keep her and her powers under control, it would be that room.

So, she was quick to push herself off of the wall and began making her way through the various corridors of the Avengers facility. She tried to remember exactly where they said the room was so that she wouldn't lock herself in any specific room. After several minutes, she was able to locate the specific hallway that the room was and she was quick to pull open the door and close it tightly behind her.

She could hear the door automatically lock and she knew that her fate was sealed. And, for that moment, Hestia believed that she was safe. Safe from her own mind and her powers.
