Hestia was horrible with trying to forget everything about the organization that had attempted to ruin her life and steal her identity. Hestia enjoyed her life with the Avengers and actually being able to spend time with her family, but she was scared. She was scared that they were going to find her and kidnap her again. Continue to ruin her life day in and day out.
After her training sessions were done for the day, Hestia found herself lounging in the living area of the Avengers facility. Her hands were in her lap as she sat there quietly, trying to piece everything together about what the organization was going to do if they didn't get her back, and it made everything even worse. She didn't want to keep thinking about the possibility of becoming a monster or a villain, but she couldn't just ignore the fact that it could happen.
She watched as the Avengers and various agents walked past her as she sat there, watching as they made their way in various directions. Hestia clenched her jaw as she watched them, before looking back down to her hands. She began to memorize all of the little things about herself before she put her hand palm up and a flame began to spout. Her eyes concentrated on the flame in her hand and she shook her head as she stared down at it, before she closed her hand.
Hestia stood up from where she was seated on the couch and began to make her way through the corridors as the Avengers had before. But while she didn't know where it was that they were going, she knew that she was going back to her apartment. There were things that she wanted to get done in hopes of taking her mind off of everything that was going on around her. But it was incredibly difficult when the type of thing that was plaguing her life continued to go on.
She gave a smile to those that passed by her and it didn't take long before she stood in front of her apartment door, but something was off. She stared down at the door, which was slightly opened and a red flag went up in her mind. Hestia snapped her head up as she looked at the door before pushing it open and quickly making her way back into her apartment. She didn't know what it was as she pushed through everything that she could before her eyes landed on her bedroom door.
Hestia rushed over to the door and she pushed it open, only for someone to grab onto her. The young girl let out a yell as she was grabbed and she didn't know who had her. So, she decided to use her training to her advantage to throw the figure off of her to see that it was one of the former employees of the organization that ruined her life.
Hesita narrowed her gaze at them before her hands began to glow red-hot as she grabbed onto them. The man let out a yell as she held them in her grasp and she began to pull them to the door. But as she got closer, Atkin appeared in the doorway and he yelled to Hestia as he rushed to her and grabbed onto the man. Hestia stepped back and watched as Atkin punched the man a few times before throwing him into the hallway.
"Are you alright?" Atkin questioned as he snapped around to look at Hestia. The young girl nodded her head, and once she gave him the okay, Atkin made his way over to the man and began to drag him down the hall.
Hestia couldn't help but begin to follow the two of them down the corridor, curious as to what Atkin was going to do with the man. But as she followed him, she could feel a hand on her shoulder, and before she could attack them, Juniper stepped in front of her. Juniper glanced over her shoulder to Atkin and the unknown man, before turning back to the young girl.
"Hey, are you okay?" Juniper questioned her, concern laced with her tone.
Hestia clenched her jaw for a few seconds and she nodded her head, "Yeah . . . yeah, I just . . . I was just going back to my apartment to clear my mind and try and ignore the fact that they're trying to get their hands on me again. But I guess that they know where I am."
Juniper glanced around herself, before she gave Hestia a look, "Look, I know what it's like for all of this to be happening to you, but how about you stay with me in my apartment, hmm? I don't want them to be able to get to you so easily."
"I don't want them to hurt you, too," Hestia replied to her, but Juniper gave her a smile.
"Don't worry about me, okay?" Juniper said to her, before resting a hand on her back. "Let's go back to my apartment, okay?"
A few seconds passed and Hestia nodded her head. Juniper and her cousin began to walk down the hallway and she couldn't help but be concerned. Juniper didn't want to lose another member of her family, and Hestia was the same way. And that was why Hestia was glad that her cousin had swooped in to save the day. The rest of the day was going to be as good as they could hope, and Hestia didn't want to spend the rest of the day worrying.
Even if she assumed that that was all she was going to be doing anyway.
