Double Hero

To be super, you had to be special. To be super, you had to be someone extraordinary, with the face of someone wholly, and completely ordinary.

Yet what did it take to be a hero? Was it enough to have a mask and a cape, powers and a cool name?

I was told being a hero required a heart of gold. Yet, if that were so, why was I heading in a direction in which my heart slowly turned to lead?

Mavis Reynolds has been raised in a gossamer household, everything fortified to keep him safe. Growing up with an overshadowed life and a kind nature has brought with him ambition, a desire to prove himself as more than who he was born.

But when Lara Highmore, his long-time best friend, comes into the picture, he's willing to do everything for her.

Until a strange man who claims to hail from the future enters his life, pressing him to be Townhausen's newest resident evil, in order to save the love of his life, he obliges, even when it went against everything in him to try.

A story set in a fictional world in relatively middle age times, wherein the story is told from an antagonist's point of view, with nothing in his heart but a desire to save his homeland, even if it meant going against his principles and tkaing on the role of the villain for her to become the hero.
