Past or future, current is not an option.

i don't even know what you want anymore. sad truth is that i know exactly what i want. I want us to be forgotten or in Some way a thing. I want to look at you and think , that looks like a Nice person wonder if he is. Instead of the "thats the most amazing human i have ever met" and if people would ask me why, the paragraphs of "because he Made me feel alive Made me feel better then anyone else ever did. He gave me the feeling he actually cared that he would actually stay." I would come up with "we used to get along" and that would be it
I know its unrealistic but so is your idea that you can leave people behind without them still caring.
