Sometimes, when leading the writerly life, the best moments are spent not writing but just breathing.

Sometimes a book and camera will do just fine.

The less said about this journey the better.

Step one, find a quiet place of beauty.

A little gazeebo overlooking Omura Bay works just fine.

Step three. Take time for local art. The free museum on your daily walk that features local artists will do just fine.

When your day is over, leave reflection for another time. For now, just breathe. Your journey is complete.

Sometimes, the best way to live the writerly life is to enjoy little moments with a book, a camera, and whatever the world may provide.

There are many ways to nourish the imaginative soul.

Breathe.
