Wake me up from this dream
This dream that tears my world down
To be falling and drowning at the same time
Taking the same labored breath
Fear
Clenching into my chest
Stealing my voice from me
Robbing me of my internal strength
So I become a sheep that's easily guided
Hope
Renews my senses as I realize there is more than one truth
There is more than one lie
The world is filled with color and our experiences are colorful
I don't have to be afraid
Power
That sparks to life when you learn to cast the fear aside
When you start to ask the question "why?"
This simple thought sparks new ideas
And challenges old fears
Peace
Comes from the knowledge that one person can make a difference
There is comfort in that understanding
There is solace in knowing that what you do matters
Who you are matters...it's true...you matter
