Chapter 14: Lies and memories

Sorry for the long wait, I wish I could update more, anyway enjoy reading.

Amy was struggling and shouting at Scourge to let her go after they exit the cave. "LET GO OF ME!" Amy screamed once again before Scourge dropped. "Shut up already, you are coming with me if you like it or not. And once we are back at the castle I will tell your father how I  had to rescue you from Sonic and how he killed all the other knights and those two maids who tried to find you." Scourge shouted, scaring Amy lightly. 

"Why are you doing this?" Amy asked close to tears. "I'm doing this so I can become king and once I am nothing can stop me." Scourge said and kept on talking about which countries he will attack and rule afterwards. The princes took the opportunity to ran back towards the cave, in hope of finding Sonic or one of her friends, since she knew they followed her and Sonic. 

But she didn't get far as Scourge noticed her action and ran after her. "NO, let go of me. I don't want to go with you!" Amy screamed once Scourge got a hold of her. "SONIC, ANYONE, HELP M-" Amy tried calling for help but Scourge knocked her out with a hit on her head. "Now be quiet and don't you dare ran from me again." Scourge said as he dragged her towards the horse he came with. "No one will be able to rescue you now, your beloved blue knight is dead and as soon as your other friends meet my dragon they will be killed too."

About six hours later, Scourge reached the castle, while Amy still was unconscious. The knights who were guarded the entrance towards the castle looked shocked as they saw Scourge with the princes in his arms. "What happened, is Miss Amy okay." one of the two guards asked as he saw how bad she's looking and also the torn clothes of the young prince. 

"I will tell you everything but first we need to take care of the princess." Scourge said acting all concerned about Amy. "Sure thing, I will inform the king, bring her in the infirmary." the other guard said before he ran off towards the throne room. In the meantime the first guard lead Scourge towards the infirmary.

Scourge placed the princess on one of the beds and smirked after the guard left the infirmary to search for the doctor or one of the nurses. "Perfect, all goes after my brilliant plan." Scourge said before the door opened all a sudden and the king and queen and Scourge's parents came in the infirmary. 

"Amy" the queen said worried and knelt down beside the bed Amy laid in. "Scourge what happened, why is Amy unconscious and why are your clothes all torn and dirty?" Scourge's father asked. "I was fighting against the blue knight, I bet he's also the one who hurt Amy." Scourge said before he glanced worried at Amy. 

"Where is Sonic now? And what about Shadow and his knights, what happened to them?" the king asked in anger. "I managed to injure Sonic, I haven't heard or seen the other knights but it could be possible that they are all dead." Scourge said. "I don't believe it, they can't be dead, Sonic wouldn't kill his brothers would he?" the queen asked doubting Scourge words. 

"But I think it's true my queen, I also came across a dead dragon and I actually was lucky to get Amy away from the blue knight." Scourge said while he exchanged glazes with his parents. "That means Sonic is still somewhere out there?" The king asked and Scourge nodded. "And I'm sure he will come after the princess again if his injury doesn't kill him first." Scourge said.

Suddenly the door opened again and in came the doctor with two nurses beside him. "We should get out." Scourge's mother said and the five royals left the infirmary. "Don't worry, she will be alright." Scourge said towards the king, who's angry and the queen, who's crying. "I will double the guards and once I get my hands on that blue traitor I will make sure to kill him." the king said in anger, while Scourge smirked triumphantly.

"Before you do that, would you listen to my request first." Scourge said quickly before the king could walk off. "Sure, what is it." "I wish to marry your daughter as soon as she can leave the infirmary, that way I will be able to protect her all the time and our knights could join forces so she will be even more protected." Scourge said, hoping his plan would work. "Very well, Amy will be happy to her she can marry her savior." the king said before he walked away.

Back in Scourges room, Scourge told his parents what really happened. "Great work Scourge, now nothing can stop us anymore." His father said and his mother nodded. "Indeed, you did a great job on killing that blue rat, let's just hope the other knights are also dead." his mother said also praising him.

Meanwhile with Amy ...

The doctor was finished bandaging all of Amy's wounds quickly and he told her mother that she was okay and was sleeping at the time. Amy's mother was relieved to hear that and sat on a chair beside the infirmary bed watching her daughter moving and talking during in her sleep, one word catched her attention, actually a name, Sonic's name.

*Amy's dream*

A young Amy (about ten years) was running around in the streets of the city, following a butterfly as she suddenly bumped into someone. "ouch" Amy said as she landed on the ground. "I'm sorry I didn't pay attention" the person who she bumped into said and reached a hand towards her to help her up. Amy then looked up and saw a young hedgehog boy, about three years older than her, with blue fur and green eyes looking down to her. 

"Thank you- umm" Amy said blushed as Sonic helped her back up on her feet. "Sonic, I'm Sonic the Hedgehog." Sonic said with a bright smile. "Well, thank you Sonic, I'm Amy Rose." Amy said cheerful. "That name sounds familiar, have we-" "Sonic, where are you. Damn where did he ran off again." a sudden voice interrupted Sonic's questions.

"Look, there he is." another voice said and Sonic tensed. "What's wrong?" Amy asked noticing Sonic's tense state but before Sonic could answer two other hedgehogs stood beside them all of a sudden. "Sonic haven't I told you to stick with us, we will never find a job here if you run off all the time." the black/red hedgehog, who looked older than Sonic, said and looked angry down on the blue hedgehog. 

"Hey who's that." The white hedgehog, who looks like the youngest of the three, asked and pointed at Amy. "Oh, that's Amy, we somehow bumped into each other." Sonic said while scratching his neck. Shadow looked towards the young pink smiling girl before his eyes widened. He then pushed the head of both his brothers down and bowed his head down himself. 

"I'm so terrible sorry, if my younger brother bothered you princess." Shadow said, while Amy looked startled at him. "Oh he wasn't a bother, actually he is quiet nice." Amy said, causing Sonic to blush. "Um thanks, I guess." Sonic answered but before he and Amy could start a conversation again, Shadow interrupted them. "Sonic, come on, we still have to go somewhere, good day princess." Shadow said. 

"But- fine, bye Amy." Sonic said but earned a smack on the head by Shadow. "Don't you have manners, she's the princess, you can't talk to her like that." Shadow said and glared down on his brother. Sonic just looked angry up at Shadow as the three hedgehog brothers left Amy, who was waving them goodbye"Bye Sonic" Amy said smiling before she walked back the street she came from.

"Sonic!" Amy shoot up from her lying position and looked confused around. "Amy, you're finally awake." Someone said and Amy recognized the voice and was then hugged by her mother. "Mom, w-where am I and where is Sonic?" Amy asked confused as she couldn't find Sonic anywhere. "Don't worry Amy, everything is fine, you will never see that traitor ever again." Amy's mother said, confusing Amy even more.

"You mean, Scourge is gone?" Amy asked. "What? No, I'm talking about Sonic, Scourge rescued you and brought you back home." Amy's mother said happy. "No way, but he- he was the one who-" "I know, he rescued you, now that you are awake you can finally marry prince Scourge and he will always protect you." Amy's mother said, which caused Amy to be speechless.
