Famous pitches in history #11:"One man's struggle to take it easy."
~ Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)
This tagline perfectly sums up Ferris' attitude. But was it from Paramount's marketing department? Nope. Director John Hughes was the man behind this memorable sound-bite epigram. He certainly knew what he was pitching.
--------------------------------------------------------Note: apologies for the wait!
Aside from my own school and such, all of the judges have been busy.
We still have three of the original four, but unfortunately one judge has disappeared without a trace. :(
However the show goes on! Here are the results.---------------------------------------------------------
Oh?What's that?
Time to judge again?
I have to eliminate three people?Oh, ok. One second.
There. Now I don't have to.
NOBODY IS ELIMINATED...
...is what I would say if I could.
You're all amazing, let me make that clear, but somebody (×3) has to go, and it might be you!I'll make it brief, you all know how this works now! Congratulations to everyone on making it this far! But now we get to the Good News and the Bad News.
--------------------------------------------------------
Those eliminated are listed below! Thank you all for participating! Those eliminated are:
#1: TubaLord22
#2: lionobsessionAnother note: it's gotten to the point where judging grows hard. At this point we aren't eliminating BAD pitches - we're narrowing it down by the tiniest criteria. One of the judges actually listed their favorite pitches of this round in order of "Top Three" and "Bottom three - but still good"...
Yeah, so it's hard.
Anyhow, thank you for your constant positivity! You make this competition amazingly friendly and I hope you'll rejoin the tournament next season (whenever that may be) with the same book and pitch! Keep writing, and thank you!

The rest of you are moving onto the Two Sentence Round (round four)!
You can begin preparing your pitches now if you so desire. The submission period will begin shortly with the posting of Round Four's guidelines.
Great work, everyone!
Next up, the top pitch (narrowed from top three because holy cow we're down to four people folks). As I've said, those on the list don't win anything extra, besides major kudos.

You folks sure got in at the last second, didn't you? :)
---------------------------------------------------------Remember, these marks are opinions. I'm not a pitch master, I'm just here to have a good time, too! You're all great.
What I'm trying to say is please take an elimination lightly. It's no insult. We're here to have a good time, and you can rejoin in another season. Now we get to the nitty-gritty. The final rounds are tough... Not just for you, but for me to judge! You all have such amazing talent that deserves the spotlight! I may have to light my phone on fire after all...
Where's my blowtorch?
