"Mom... yesterday you said that... I could hang out with the erm... Weasels?" Harry inquired the day after his first excursion outside. His mother snorted,"The Weasleys darling. And of course you can, lovely family. My and Molly always joked about how if one day, by chance, you'd mate with one of her kids." She chuckled, but Harry had a feeling she was very serious. "Dad will walk you over there... right James?" He shot the question at his father, who looked up from him copy of the daily profit.
"Oh uh, yeah Harry... do what your mother says..." he said, hoping it was the correct answer, and of course he was miserably wrong. A low chuckle sounded from the kitchen, which opened into the living room where the Potters where chatting.
"Nice one James," Sirius chuckled as he walked into the room, "Really got that one spot on! Come on Harry, I have a feeling mommy's about to go all 'old school Evens' on your dads butt." He snickered, pulling his and Harry's coat off the rack. Sirius and Petter where the only alphas who where promoted to be alone with Harry outside of family. Even though Harry was only a child, James still had to worry about him in this corrupted and disgusting world.
Sirius and Harry led the house together, hand and hand, as Sirius and him had done sense he was old enough to walk. His godfather smiled down to him, expecting to find a quick response. Instead of seeing Harry's bright orbs, replicas of his mother's, he was greeted nothing. Harry's attention was diverted to a group of kids who where talking and pointing over to them, obviously trying to be sly with the movements.
Harry blushes and looked down, pulling his hand away from Sirius. He walked with his head bowed, blinding following his god father through the vast lands of the very rich wizard neighborhood.
Sirius was suddenly closer to Harry, guarding him in a way. Harry noticed his change in behavior, and tensed to a stop. He swiveled his head in every direction, trying to locate the threat Sirius had apparently found. His head jerked to a stop when he locked eyes with a familiar boy.
His nerves stood on end as Draco approached them, well him, he seemed to pay Sirius no mind at all.
"Hello again Harry." Malfoy said brightly, grinning at Harry. Harry waved meekly. He leaned into Sirius for support, and took a deep breath. Just like he had hoped, Draco's scent hit him, and filled his senses.
He hummed a bit, "Hi Dracooo." A snarl plastered Sirius's usually calm and cool face. He loved Harry as if he where his own son, and got just as protective of him as he would with his own omega, Remus... except without the show of ownership he usually gave Remus, that would be weird, and extremely wrong.
He did however, let Harry rest into him, knowing what the poor boy must be feeling at the moment. He turned his gaze to his cousins son.
"Draco, Harry has a place to be. Please move aside for him." Draco was taken aback. Analyzing everything in his sight. Harry leaning into Sirius, the hand Sirius moved to stabilize Harry by the shoulder. A low growl built in his throat as he glared challenging at the older alpha.
"I could escort him." He drawled, "Where is he going?" Sirius rolled his eyes. He patted Harry's shoulder and decided to break the news to Draco.
"Actually, I believe that Harry would rather not have you walk him. And, to answer your question, I believe from what I heard, he's going to meet a potential mate." He grinned at the outraged look on Draco's face. You could say he was bending the truth slightly, but his bitterness for the Malfoy family showed no mercy.
"Huh?" Harry made a confused noise, only now breaking his gaze away from the boy. He snapped his head up to look at Sirius. "You-you're joking, right? I'm not... I don't-." Harry had a break down, he knew he didn't want to have to actively find a mate yet. He wasn't ready! He was hysterical. He wasn't dressed nicely enough to approach a potential mate... he hadn't prepared!
