Nine

Jungkook's POV

   After Jimin left, I closed the door and turned around only to be met by a confused face. "What's with you two?"

   Not knowing what to say, I looked around and scratched the back of my neck in the meantime. What was I going to say? That we're a couple already? But Jimin said that we should just call each other by nicknames for now. Also, Taehyung probably knows about him and Yoongi, seeing them being so close, and it probably would be weird if I said Jimin and I were boyfriends. He wouldn't take it seriously and think he was just playing with me.

   It's not supposed to be like that, so I think that I should say there's nothing between us. Well I hope so. "What do you mean?" I answered.

   "What do you mean 'what do you mean?'? You were all over each other just now! Are you guys together?"

   "N-no. It's just..." I walked over to the couch he was sitting on and took a seat next to him. "...he's nice." I mentally facepalmed thinking about how stupid I just sounded.

   "Just nice? What I saw there was something else... you even ignored me." He pouted cutely. That has always been one of my weaknesses.

   "No no no! Sorry, I didn't mean to!" I panicked. "It's just that he has a lot on his mind at the moment and we're kind of helping each other out."

   He nodded and I immediately sighed out of relief seeing that he understood, but right after, he turned around to face me as I slowly started to panick again. "I get it that you're helping him out, but... what is he helping you out with?"

   Why was I so stupid? I had to think of something quickly, I couldn't just tell him the truth and say 'oh, he's helping me by being my fake boyfriend so we could make you jealous so that you and I can date.', no, that would be stupid, even for me.

   "Uhm,... he's helping me with uhm... Oh! The dance of course!" It wasn't exactly a lie, but I could tell by his look on his face that he bought it. "Yeah, have you seen him dance? He's so talented so I asked him to be my partner and he agreed!" I smiled widely, but still nervously.

   "Oh, I see... Oh! I almost forgot! Me and Yoongi are going to the studio tomorrow and we're planning on doing a collab. I was thinking you could come with me so I could listen to your opinion?" And let the jealousy eat me alive? No, thank you!

   "Oh uh, I don't know, wouldn't I be a bother? You don't even need my opinion, everything you make is amazing, so I'm sure this one will be too." I said, not wanting him to make me go there.

   "But please?? We barely even do things together! I miss my best friend." Damn that hurt. 'Best friend' huh? Not for long, though.

   My tongue poking my cheek as I thought of Yoongi and Taehyung dating, but I won't have to worry about that for long, thanks to Jimin.

   I looked at Tae's cute pout and almost gave in if it wasn't for the message which I just received on cue. I mentally thanked whomever the person was that texted me and took my phone to see that Jimin was the one who did it.

   'Thanks for today, bunny. ;)'

   "Who is it?" Tae asked.

   "Oh it's Jimin." I answered before quickly looking back at my phone to answer his text.

   'Don't worry about it! You can come by anytime, mochi. xD'

   'Sure :). Tho, I was thinking we could meet up tomorrow?'

   Perfect! This way, I have an excuse for not tagging along with Tae. And we don't have school tomorrow.

   'Of course! When and where?'

   'How about you come pick me up at 2? You know my address, right?'

   'Yes I do. See u tomorrow!'

   'Great! C ya :).'

   "...kook! Earth to Jungkook!!" His arms waved in front of my face, trying to catch my attention.

   "Oh, sorry! Anyways, as I was saying, I can't go with you tomorrow."

   "Why not?" He pouted again, but it wasn't going to work on me this time.

   "I already made plans with Jimin, sorry." He scoffed at that and stood up, facing away from me, ready to leave to his room.

   "Fine, have fun with your boyfriend and neglect your best friend." With that he walked up the stairs, leaving me dumbfounded and speechless.

   'This is gonna be harder than I thought.'
