"Think about what? If I loved you?" I scoffed in amusement and folded my arms.
"I guess." He replied in a whisper, slightly offended as he pulled the covers away and took off his shoes and sat on the edge of the bed.
"So you don't want to talk about it?" I asked shocked and irritated.
"Well, I do!" I said annoyed and he laughed.
"Then talk to yourself, it doesn't mean I'll be listening." He smiled and got under the covers and pulled out his phone.
Anger poured through me.
He then placed his phone to his ear and began to speak to the other person at the other end.
My mouth couldn't close. I looked at him in shock.
Did he seriously just call someone right in the middle of this?!
"Cyrus!" I yelled and he looked over at me casually and waited for me to say something.
"Put the phone down, we're in the middle of something here!" I yelled walking over to his side and sitting beside him.
"Did you forget that our Pack was just attacked tonight?! Nevaeh, we'll argue and yell tomorrow."
"No way, you're just running from your feelings and your problems." I blurted out, loud enough for whoever was on the phone to hear us.
Cyrus's eyebrows creased in annoyance and he hung up the phone. He leaned closer towards me and held my arms tightly, our faces inches apart. My breathing began heavy as his seemed to slow.
"I'm not running from anything." He said firmly and slowly. I shrugged in disbelief and crossed my arms over my chest, getting out of his grasps.
"I don't believe that. You're acting like you didn't just tell me that you loved me just hours ago."
"I never denied that! I literally just asked you to take some time to think! I'm trying to make this less stressful for you but you just want to argue all the time!" He raised his voice and sat up straight, his back hitting the backboard of the king-sized bed.
"Why are you fighting me on this?!" He added and I took a deep breath and decided not to yell.
We both didn't need to be yelling at this late hour.
"Okay listen, you blurting out those words is quite inconsiderate" I replied honestly, avoiding meeting his eyes. "Look, you can't just blurt things like that out whilst in the middle of an argument. What'd you expect me to say?" I sighed.
He didn't say anything, he simply sat with his hands in his lap watching me intensively, so frustrated with his lack of engagement, continued.
"Our relationship has been a never ending rollercoaster of emotions so excuse me if I don't believe you are capable of Loving someone that isn't yourself." I spat in annoyance.
His eyebrows raised and he a cynical smirk crept up his lips. "Are you trying to hurt me?" He asked, "Cause it's not fucking working Nevaeh."
"No ones trying to hurt your feelings! I'm just saying that I don't —"
"Love me?" He interrupted and my breath hitched in my throat.
Neither of us says anything, just solely staring in each other's eyes.
"Say something.." I finally blurted.
"What is there for me to say? You can't expect me to hide how I feel Nevaeh. You were the one that practically begged me to open up to you, so why are you complaining now?"
