Elizabeth ran out of the tavern, her heart pounding in her ears. She couldn't let him do this on his own, it wasn't his battle to fight. This was her fault, it was all her fault.

Where is he?

She pounded down the dirt path, heading for the shouts near the beach. She pulled up short as she crested the hill and the ocean came into view. Warships lined the beaches, there were so many of them.

Liz looked down on the scene before her in horror. There were soldiers engaged in battle everywhere, the clanging of swords echoing through the air. She searched through the bodies, both those still fighting and those lying in pools of their own blood.

There!

Relief coursed through Liz, he was still on his feet, countering an attack by one of the enemy soldiers.

Then, as soon as the relief had come it disappeared. Her heart picked up in rapid pace, pounding away in her chest as she drew in a sharp breath.

Another opposing soldier was coming up on him from behind, his sword drawn, preparing to drive it straight through his heart.

"NOOOOO!!!" Elizabeth screamed as she took off running.
