Extended description: When Jake Williams first begins to experience a gnawing sadness eating him up inside and out, he's convinced that it's typical teenage angst. Either that, or the aftermath of having social workers knock on his door, ask a few questions, and then appear the next day to take him away from his home. While trying to get over a past that still haunts him at night, Jake has to adjust to a new family, and try to shake the suppressing feeling that's shoving him back down every time he tries to lift himself up. Before he knows it, Jake is in a battle between the good and the evil of his mind.

The evil wins one morning when Jake tries to kill himself.

After that, Jake is admitted to Woodbridge Mental Clinic; a new, terrifying and daunting place that sends shivers down his spine. There is where he begins his long journey to recovery, filled with cries, therapy, tainted souls and broken hearts. There is where he meets Molly Tanner and Dylan Johnson, who are every bit as thoroughly messed up as he is. There is where he realizes the only way the past can define himself is if he were dead. There is where he took breath after breath, because he was not dead, but his past was.

There is where he screamed, because he is a young soul, and young souls only yearn to be heard.

SPIN-OFF TO FOUR REALIZATIONS! You can easily read this without reading Four Realizations because it takes place before the actual book, haha. This is Jake's story; I know I kept hinting at hs back story in 4R, but this gives you the whole story!
