Katsuki Bakugou was completely, utterly screwed. And not the fun kind.
He was currently stood in the middle of his bedroom, closed-mouth kissing Shouto Todoroki, about two minutes after he'd confessed. That's right, fucking Icyhot had managed to get enough courage to confess before he had. Which meant now, as Katsuki attempted to ignore the arms around his waist and, possibly even more distractingly, the lips on his own, he had to figure out what the fuck to do.
“Ah,” He pulled away from the kiss with an embarrassing gasp, unendingly annoyed that he was currently blushing like crazy whilst Todoroki looked calm, effortlessly attractive and thoroughly confident about what just happened.
Katsuki was not feeling confident, which was pretty new to him and utterly unfair. What was happening? Were they dating? Were they just kissing? Was he supposed to deepen the kissing? Did you actually have to go on a date with someone before you could say you were dating? Did Todoroki expect him to ask him out on a date since he'd actually admitted he like Katsuki? Was he supposed to call him Shouto now? Could he still use ‘Icyhot’ and ‘Half’N’Half’ to address him or was that rude?
“Bakugou?” The other asked softly, tilting his head at him whilst Katsuki refocused on the fact that he was still there. “Are you alright?”.
“Uh,” He found himself lost for words, which was usually when he'd start screaming, but right now he didn't feel like he had the energy for that. “Y- yeah, just-” What exactly was he supposed to say? ‘Yo, Halfie, are we fucking dating or what?’- no, that didn't seem right. Maybe he should text Kirishima and ask him, but he doubted he'd be anymore knowledgeable about this stuff than he was.
“Are you sure?” Great, now Todoroki looked fucking concerned and he had that warm, cute look in his eyes- perfect. Katsuki stood by the fact that Icyhot’s eyes were his most attractive feature (but his abs were his hottest).
“Can you fucking go?” He blurted out, and the other stepped back away from him in surprise, leaving him feeling cold and much too alone.
“... I thought-”, Apparently Katsuki had screwed up, since Todoroki was clearly upset as he mumbled to himself, not meeting his gaze. “Do you not want to date me?”.
“Fuck, no! Shit, I mean yes, of course I wanna fucking date you, idiot. Just right now-” He tried to backtrack, tripping over his words and pretty much making a fool of himself, which only served to increase his temper.
He was quickly shut up by a quick peck on his cheek, which caused him to halt his sentence and look up (tall bastard) in surprise. Great, now he was blushing even more. “Okay, I'll see you tomorrow.” Todoroki smiled softly, once again looking confident and cooly happy, before he left the room with a swagger only he could have pulled off.
At least he took the door out, this time, instead of the balcony.
__
Katsuki hated admitting when he was bad at something, and he downright despised admitting that someone else was better than him at something. This usually led to him just procuring the title of ‘The Absolute Best’ at everything, so he'd never have to admit either of those things.
Todoroki was obviously a better boyfriend than he was.
It had been ten minutes of him screaming into his pillow since the other boy had left his room, and the more he thought about it, the more indisputable it seemed. Todoroki had confessed first (Katsuki had just been planning to wallow in silence forever, never allowing himself to think about his stupid feelings), Todoroki had gone in for their second kiss (the second kiss was harder than the first, since now there were expectations), Todoroki had immediately been sure in his assumption that they were dating and Todoroki had done that cute cheek-kiss without hesitation or embarrassment.
