Chapter 4: Mute

Crystal's P.O.V.

"CRYSTAL!" I heard my mom yell for the 80th time as I'm coming down the stairs.

"Yes?"

Raven was by her. My mom had a creepy grin on her face.

"You and Raven are going to steal shit for me." She said as she handed me a list.

"You have money! Buy it!"

She pushed me. "Don't fucking talk back! Now go."

I rolled my eyes and went with Raven. When we got there the I looked through the list.

Raven held her NotePad up to me. It read, "I'm Scared."

I sighed and hugged her. "It'll be fine, ok?"

She nodded. I got some ramen noodle packets and shoved it in her bookbag. She looked up and her eyes widened.

I looked behind me and there was a big man there with his arms crossed. I grabbed Raven and started running while dropping things on the shelves on the floor.

We ran our the back door and I put her over the fence. The man was no where in sight when I looked behind me. When I looked forward, Raven stopped in the middle of the street and signaled me to hurry up.

As soon as I got over the fence, a car sped towards her. I tried to run fast enought but I was too late. The car had ran her over and sped away.

'No. No. No. No. No. Raven!" I screamed. "Please wake up! Please!"

I shook her body but she wouldn't budge. She just laid there. I instantly pulled out my phone and called Roc. Just as it was was about to send me to voicemail, he answered.

"What do you want?"

"Roc! Oh thank God! You need to come get me!" I practically yelled through the phone.

"Bitch, I don't need to come get shit! You're probably out there being a little slut and the guy kicked your ass out!"

"Roc this is serious!"

It was silent.

"Roc? Roc? Ro-"

"Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep."

He hung up on me. Wow. I called Princeton. He answered after the 3rd ring. I could tell by the voices in the background that he was at my house and the other guys were there too.

"I don't want to sleep with you slut!" He yells through the phone earning a laugh from the other guys.

"Please stop Plese just come take me to the hospital! Raven got hit by a car. I don't know what to do. Please. Please." I sob on the phone.

All I hear is silence and I think he hung up but then I hear.

"Where are you?"

"B-behind the Day Store." I reply.

He hangs up and a few minutes later he's here.

"Thank you so much!" I notice the other guys are there.

Once Raven was in the car, it was a full. There was no space for me.

"Please. Whatever you do just please get her to the hospital. Please." As I am about to walk away, Princeton grabs my wrist and sits me on his lap in the car.

"No matter how much of a slut you are, you're coming cause this is your sister." Prince says.

I hung my head low and looked at Raven. I put my face in the crook of her neck and cry silently. "Please don't die Rave. Please."
