"Today day had been pretty boring" thought Fiona. She hoped that they would have arrived during the night, but when her step-father woke her up he told her that they had been delayed because of a weird looking fish. She hoped that the Baudelaire's or somebody in V.F.D had received her message. If nobody had the message would have washed up on Briny Beach and she would be able to see once they got there.
She decided to get up and see how far they were from their destination. The funny thing about this story that I see so far, as I further investigate and try to find the remnants of the secret organization known as V.F.D, is that the three groups of friends looking for each other as well as V.F.D were all in companionships with four people. The Quagmires and Hector were together with four, as were the Baudelaire's and the Widdershins.
Anyway to continue our story, aka my investigation for V.F.D, when Fiona walked to the control room, she saw that they were about one hour away from Briny Beach. Suddenly Captain Widdershins marched into the room along with Phil and Fernald. "Good Morning Fiona" said Phil. "Good Morning Cookie" she responded. "We need to decide what to do once we get to land" said Captain Widdershins.
"Good Idea" she responded. "I think we should head straight to V.F.D headquarters" said Fiona. "It burnt down remember" Fernald replied. "What" said Captain Widdershins. "That is treachery, who is responsible". "That man with the beard and-" Fernald started. "Those two pieces of utter rubbish" he cut off raging. "Then we must go to all the safe places using the underground tunnel. "They were all burnt down" said Fernald.
To correct the statement made by the Hook Handed man. The last safe place was not burnt down as it resided underneath the Hotel Denouement. Also there were few secret safe places still left standing although probably not for long. The word the last safe place in this case meant, The last place in a series of safe places. What Fernald assumed was that the last safe place meant the last one standing.
To continue with the conversation that ensued, I can tell you it did not last very long as the companions were about to reach their destination. After Fernald claimed that they were all burnt down, his step-father replied with a smirk "Not all of them, Aye".
