CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

HALA'S P.O.V

I'm awake. I know I am, I'm aware, I can feel and I can hear. I just can't...move. My eyelids are sealed shut and well I can't move any part of my body. I was aware Sean was here earlier, I heard him and felt him. I tried to move but I couldn't so the best thing I was able to do was make a noise. But I guess that didn't do much good.

I don't exactly know where I am or how long I've been out because the last thing I remember is getting thrown up into the air from an explosion. I want to move, I NEED to move, I basically feel dead at the moment. I decided to finally take a deep breath and relax. About 5 minutes later I had finally got my hands moving but my main priority was to open my eyes.

That's when finally, my eyes slowly fluttered open causing me to let out a gasp. I looked around in a panic but calmed down a little once I realized I was in a hospital. What's going on? What happened? I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. I scrunched up my face, my throat was sore and dry. Are you actually serious right now?

I moved my hands along the side of the bed until I felt some sort of button. I pressed down on it but nothing happened so I began to press it multiple times, when a nurse came rushing in. She stopped in her tracks once her eyes layed on me.

"You're awake!" She said in shock. I gave her a weak smile and nodded. She suddenly ran out of the room. No! Where is she going?! To my relief, she came rushing back in with a glass of water. I smiled, taking the water and drinking it all in one gulp. I closed my eyes and let the cold liquid run down my throat.

"How long have I been asleep?" I asked quietly.

The nurse sighed. "3 months." My eyes widened.

"WH-" Before I could even finish, I started having a coughing fit.

"Honey, take a deep breath and drink more water." The nurse said. I did as she told and calmed down. How could this be? What happened through those 3 months? The first thing that came to mind was Sean.

"Is Sean here? Sean O'Donnell?"

"I'm sorry but not at the moment, I could give him a call if you want." The nurse offered. I smiled and nodded my head quickly. The nurse smiled kindly and got up, leaving the room to go and make the phone call.

Sean where are you?

SEAN'S P.O.V

Chris and I were at the airport waiting for our flight. It was now 5 PM and the flight was leaving at 5:30 PM.

"Flight 34 is now ready for boarding." The announcer said. Chris and I got up and started heading towards the gates, when my phone began to ring.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hi, is this Mr. O'Donnell?" The lady said.

"Yes...? May I ask who this is?"

"This is Hala's nurse." She simply said. I was suddenly alarmed.

"Sean, she is awake and she asked to call you." I hung up the phone and grabbed Chris by the shoulder and pulled him back.

"What?" He asked.

"Hala, she's awake, we have to go back right now!" I said as I began running. Chris followed behind.

"What about the flight?!"

"Forget the flight we'll go tomorrow!" I ran faster and faster. I finally reached the parking lot and ran over to the car. I jumped in with Chris and started the car as fast as I could. In seconds, I pressed down on the pedal hard and sped off to the hospital.
