After you and Ruby crashed landed onto Russel's island, the two of you moved throughout the jungle of the island. The two of you had crossed over fallen timbers, a few pits and even encountered a few booby traps such as trip wires, surprise cages and darts. The last one was painful for you. Just you. After around 40 minutes of marching throughout the jungle, the two of you had returned to the coastline and saw a few missile silos and turrets attacking the fleet. Ruby cocked her sniper rifle and took aim towards the turrets.

(Y/N): Get ready?

Ruby: I'm ready! You be ready! I'm the one with the sniper rifle.

(Y/N): Ok, ok. Cover me when I attack.

Ruby: Target?

You squinted and peered across the coast.

Ruby: I see it. Power couplings just below the missiles.

(Y/N): Gotcha. I'lll clear a path.

Ruby: Be careful.

(Y/N): You too.

You ran off as Ruby took up a position. The two of you already knew the signal and thus, you held no reason to contact Ruby. You moved along the brush and finally reached the turrets. You cracked your knuckles and drew your blade. Before you ran to engage, you noticed that whenever it fired, an opening would occur. You waited for the next firing to attack. After a few seconds, the turret fired again and you ran forward.

You slid along the ground and fired your rifle, blasting the coupling, severely damaging it. Ruby must've also caught site of the pattern because the turret to you far left was hit at least with 4 different sniper rounds before it blew up. You both continued the attack with Ruby taking out the furtherest ones while you would attack anything that was close enough to you. After a few more explosions, you and Ruby linked up once again and continued to destroy the guns. Finally, you both stopped at the final turret.

(Y/N): After you.

Ruby: Awe. So sweet.

Ruby took aim and fired at the opening. Immediately afterwards, you also opened fire. Two rounds from both of you was all it took for the gun to blow up.

Ruby: Yeah! (On Scroll) Uncle Qrow! We got you a landing area!

However, a roar was heard from the trees. You both turned to the woods, weapons drawer and ready. Ruby squinted and gasped.

Ruby: Death Stalker! You can see the tail!

(Y/N): Ok. This is an easy-

From the trees, a mutated Death Stalker emerged, almost the same height as the wyvern that destroyed Beacon. Its two claws moved to attack both of you. You formed a shield around Ruby as the claw bounced off of the shield, yet the other hit you and sent you flying. Ruby began zipping around the beast and firing at it. As Ruby kept flying around and firing at the beast, the Death Stalker rose a claw and was able to trap Ruby with it. She was able to wiggle out her arms and sniper and fired at the Stalker's head.

Suddenly, you lunged towards the Grimm and cut one of its teeth off with a single swing and was able to get Ruby out of the pin.

(Y/N): Hands off my girl!

The Stalker roared and spun around, whipping its tail towards you. You built up a shield and deflected the hit only to have the beast turn around and attempt to strike you with its claw. You jabbed your blade between the pincers and climbed up onto the Grimm and ran up to the head. You leapt towards it and began to punch the head as Ruby began to attack it's legs.
