"You have the most amazing eyes!" I slurred, stumbling over my own feet.
The guy I was talking to grinned at me. "Well you have nice lips, and I'd quite like to kiss them." He winked.
"And that you shall do!" I grinned, closing my eyes and clapping my hands.
I felt pretty stupid at the time but looking back on it as a sober person makes me feel so, so much worse.
The guy, Terry, was actually quite an average guy, mid 30s and his eyes were quite a normal shade of green. However, he had supplied me with three drinks which I would have never accepted if I had been sober but I was far from that stage.
I gave him a kiss on the cheek and he moaned and I winked at him, watching as my teasing excited him even more. Soon enough though, his tongue was down my throat. In fact, it was quite a wet kiss - he used A LOT of tongue.
"Hey, babe - I need to leave now actually... Tight schedule for tomorrow... Perhaps you'd wanna come back with me?" He winked again and I grinned.
"Yeah - sounds great!" I beamed at him. He smiled and we both got up. He took my hand and led me towards the exit of the club which was quite difficult because my feet decided they hated walking and tried to trip me up. I was cursing them as Angelo came into sight, sweeping aside everyone as he came over to me.
"Hey, where are you going?" He asked me, looking into my eyes.
"Oh this guy... Terry? He is taking me back to his place so don't worry love, your off the hook, you can fly off and I don't need to be a burden to you!" I giggled.
Angelo rolled his eyes which pissed me off and started talking to Terry. "Sorry mate, she's really out of it but actually she has yoga tomorrow morning and gets pretty cranky if she doesn't go so its best if you leave it for tonight." He reasoned.
Terry huffed and glared at Angelo. "And who might you be?"
Angelo flashed him a grin and his pearly white teeth gleamed as he stood up tall and flexed his muscles. "I'm her brother actually."
All the time, my jaw was dropping further and further to the point where I thought I might actually have to scoop it off the floor.
"He is SO drunk - my brother eh? Psh!" I rolled my eyes again.
Suddenly Angelo hugged me and stuck a foot out so I staggered and he caught me. "See what I mean? Hopeless woman!" He chuckled and was soon joined by Terry.
"Sorry mate, I thought you were into her or something so... Yeah. It makes sense your her brother I guess, your both very similar and you look natural together." He thought for a moment before digging out his card from his jean pocket. "Just ask her to give me a ring, OK?"
Angelo nodded. "I will be sure to remind her tomorrow morning." He said laughing and shaking his head as if he were embarrassed. Stupid idiot.
Terry gave me a final kiss then walked off. As soon as he was out of sight, Angelo ripped up his card.
"Oi, what the hell are you doing?" I shouted at him. "You can't stop me from seeing a guy. I'm an adult for christ sake!"
"Whatever." Angelo said as he helped me onto a seat.
"And stop treating me like I'm some sort of idiot. I can look after myself!" I snapped.
"Yeah... That's really obvious." He replied sarcastically.
Suddenly, I hated him. Tears came again, they seemed to come more and more these days. Angelo's face changed from looking amused to looking sad and annoyed at himself.
