96| Knew it all along

15 4 1

When they ask,
How you have changed,
I say,
Not like the sea,
Like the wind,
From cold and dry,
To brisk hot,
To blowing white,

When they ask,
How you've grown,
I tell them,
A slideshow,
We put up every year
On my birthday,
Collage of pictures
I didn't know

When they ask
How you've been,
I say,
Just a bit under the weather,
And over my skin,
Like a half sunset,
Little bit in the sky,
Little bit in the wind,

And when they ask,
Who would have known,
I tell them I did,
For it was me
All the way along,
Who had changed,
Who had grown.
