Eyes Closed (Chaelisa)

Chapter 9

Rosé POV

It was the day after we got back to Korea from our Japan concert and we were given a well deserved rest. I've been planning to go biking in the Han river this morning so I woke up early. I got up from bed and went directly to the kitchen. Putting two pieces of bread on the toaster, I proceeded to get the jams for the toast.

Feeling excited for the day I planned, I started humming our song Really, as I got into the song I started dancing along to the beat. After a few minutes I smelled something burning. Immediately, I ran to the toaster to see that I burned the toast again. Not again!

I got the bread and went to the sink to try and salvage the bread. I reached for the knife and scraped the burnt areas of the bread. While I was busy scraping the bread, I felt someone's arms wrapped around me.

"My chipmunk, you burnt the bread again. I could smell it from the stairs."

I looked to my side and see Lisa with her nose scrunched up, probably from smelling the burnt toast.

God, Lisa was really cute. She naturally exudes aegyo. Everything about her is aegyo. How can she be so badass one moment and become aegyo the next instant.

"Ya Lalisa, don't cry if I refuse to give you food."

I moved back to the bar counter pulling Lisa along because she won't let go and put jam on my now salvaged toast. Taking a bite I could see Lisa opening her mouth asking for a bite too.

"I'm not giving you food Lisa. Go make your own."

"Please Rosie, I'm hungry!" she whines acting like a kid.

I couldn't say no after seeing her being all cute. I sigh and say "Fine but let go of me, I don't want crumbs on my shoulder."

She let go and moved in front of me happily opening her mouth. "Ahhh"

I gently shoved the bread in her mouth and she took a bite. I could see her face scrunch up a bit from tasting the remainder of the burnt toast but she still smiles.

"You make the best toast Rosie!" she laughs.

I decided not to call her out with her white lie because she was being sweet. I give her a smile to acknowledge her compliment.

We moved to the dining table and sat across each other continuing our breakfast.

"So why are you up so early Chaeyoung-ah?"

"The sky is so beautiful today so I want to go biking beside the Han River!" I told her my plans excitedly almost bouncing up and down from my seat.

"Ya Park Chaeyoung! Why aren't you asking me to go with you?" Lisa shouts angrily.

"I figured you might be tired from the concert and wanted to rest."

"I am tired but that won't stop me from wanting to go to the Han River with you. Didn't I promise before that I'd accompany you there when you go biking?" she looks at me in all seriousness.

I felt touched because she still remembers the promise I made her swear. I feel my cheeks starting to heat up but I still looked into her eyes directly.

"Lisa, will you spend the day with me?" I smiled sweetly. She was surprised at the sudden question and looked down at the table. Was she being shy?

"Lisa. Lisa. Lisa!" surprised at my shout she looked up at me.

"You still haven't answered my question."

Playing with her food I could hear her quietly answer. "Y-yes."

Satisfied, I resumed eating my toast.

"I smell something burning! Lisa did you burn something again! My coffee maker better be okay when I get there or I'll kick your ass!" Jennie shouts as we hear footsteps coming closer.

We see Kuma walking towards the table and Jennie following behind.

"It wasn't me! I didn'tdo anything this time." Lisa shouts.

"Sorry unnie, I burnt the toast that's why it smells." I plead guilty.

Jennie-unnie's face immediately softens at my confession.

"It's okay hubby, I'm not mad. Just make sure to watch the toaster closely next time."

"Why aren't you that nice to me when I burn something!" Lisa pouts and crosses her arms in dismay.

"That's because you never learn and make stupid choices!" Jennie answers back sticking her tongue out. She sits beside me and starts to eat as well.

"Yahooo! Good morning my babies." Jisoo-unnie walks toward the kitchen and sits beside Lisa.

"What are your plans for today?" Jisoo asks?

Lisa coughs and raises her chest proudly.
"Rosie and I are going on a date and you guys can't come with us."

Surprised, I almost spit out my mango juice.
I feel heat rushing up to my cheeks.

"Well then enjoy your date maknaes." Jennie looks at me and winks. What was that supposed to mean?

"We definitely will! Right Chaeng-ah?" Lisa looks at me expectantly. I swallowed slowly and nod at her.

This is going to be another long day.
