and when you're weak i'll be strong
i'm gonna keep holding on
now don't you worry, it won't be long, darling
and when you feel like hope is gone
just run into my arms

I wish I could say that I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling, but I couldn't. Instead, I woke up to the distinct sound of the snap of a camera.

And apparently, so did Liam, because he shot up the moment the sound echoed through our secret place. It was almost like a reflex reaction for him.

When he saw that I was awake, he leaned down toward me and whispered urgently in my ear. "There are paps here."

Despite our situation, I allowed the pleasure of hearing his morning voice slide through my veins. Seriously, that man had a voice that sounded like chocolate and sex all rolled in one.

"I thought you said there were no paps here."

A cocky smirk appeared on his face and I braced myself for his next words. "Guess there's nowhere in the world where Liam Greyson isn't a star."

I shoved him and peeped down. A small crowd had formed below but it wasn't anything close to the scale I was used to back in Hollywood. "Okay, it doesn't look that bad."

Liam leaned over. "Yet. We'd better leave now, before it gets any worse."

He grabbed my wrist and started to pull me along, but I dug my heels in the ground, hesitating.

Liam turned. "What? What is it?"

I chewed on my bottom lip. "I think I'll just stay up here."

"What?" He cocked his head to one side. "Why?"

"Not a big fan of being in front of the cameras," I mumbled out, shuffling on my feet.

"Brooklyn, your whole life is about cameras."

"I know, but I've never been in front of it," I confessed.

"Oh." But then he grinned. "And your first time is going to be with Liam Greyson." He winked at the double innuendo. "You're a lucky girl."

I rolled my eyes. "That's such an honour. Truly. But I think I'll pass."

"Aw, c'mon."

"You go first. I'll go after a while." I pushed him towards the exit staircase.

"Wait, wait, wait." Liam slid out of my grip. "You seriously don't want to be photographed with me?"
