I walk away from the boy that I just punched the living hell out of. He curled into a ball. I walked away until I am unable to be seen by him. I watched from afar as he tries to get up but fails, then her finally gets up and walks away.
I don't know why I'm doing this. It just makes me feel like I have power like I can pull something, even though everything is falling apart. I walk home and flinch. As I hear my parents through the door. I put my ear to the door.
"But honey, he hasn't done anything wrong!" I hear my mom saying, her voice wavering like she was crying.
"Shut up," I hear my father shout. "he's a piece of shit, and he has done nothing good for us! Stop being so oblivious!" He slurred in a drunken manner.
"He-" a smack brings out, and I hear something hit the floor hard.
"You don't know shit!" I open the door quietly and sneak in. I see my father standing in front of my mom, who is on the floor. He looks like he's in a drunken rage. My step mom is holding a hand to her cheek that has all large red hand shaped mark forming, she also has hand shaped bruises on her arms and a black eye.
I sneak past them, and only my mother sees me, but my father followed her gaze and saw me. He stomped towards me. As I sprinted to my room, I slammed and locked the door, put a bookcase in front of it, so he can get in get through, he would he wouldn't remember this in the morning, so I should be safe.
"Bubby!" I hear my sister. I put a big smile on my face and turn around, but it turns to anger once I've seen her.
"Did he do that to you?"I asked.
"Yeah," she paused, "but everything is better because you're here! You'll make everything better!" I instantly felt guilty for beating up that boy. I felt like I had failed my sister in some way, like I'm not the person she thinks I am.
I fake smiled. I would do anything for my sister. "Oh no, you got it wrong." She looks sad for a moment. "You're the one who makes everything better!" Her face lit up and happiness, and she giggled. "Ok, we should go to bed. We need a good nights sleep for tomorrow."
She nodded, I looked at her bruises again and felt sadness. I turn the lights off and listened to the music on my ipod, I let the music calm me until I finally fell asleep.
I was now walking to school in the boy from yesterday was walking in front of me. He looked extremely tired. I don't know why but, he has caught my eye, and I can't seem to get him out of my mind. I go to school is normal.
Once it's over, I see him and follow him, I think his name is Max. He starts to walk through the Woods. I follow him without him knowing. He finally stops at what looks like a drop off.
He goes to the edge and looks like he's contemplating. something he shakes his head around a hand through his hair. Then he sees me and freezes, I run towards him and just as he starts for any, I grabbed him and pinned him to a tree.
"Man you never learn." I say he flinches but says nothing. He doesn't move at all like the other times "Oh, come on do something! don't just stand there and make this boring." He doesn't respond.
I lean in and he flinches but instead of hurting him I kiss him he instantly goes into full panic mode I hold him in place but he still thrashes around I pull away and he has his eyes closed with a scared look on his face and tears are rolling down his cheeks. I put my hand under his shirt and he turned pale and looked sick he scrambled around and got out of my grip he ran a little before he fell on his knees.
It looked like he gagged. He stood up and walked a little further, and then he collapsed unconscious.
"What the fuck?" I mumbled.
