I woke up with a banging headache! I gently sat up to find I was back in Tom's bedroom. I rubbed the back of my neck where it was sore but the constant pacing up-and down of Tom was making me anxious. He was walking up and down his room looking at the floor whilst shaking a little. I knew I had to tell him sooner or later. A gulped with nervous before opening my mouth to talk. My mouth was so dry it hurt to open it.

"Tom." I said quietly. He didn't even look at me. His head was still facing the floor as he paced up and down his room. "I...I can explain everything." I said in one tone but meaning to be quite serious.

"Ivory....." his voice quivered. "You should have told me." He said shouting almost.

"I know I was looking for the right time to tel..."

"...oh really?" he suddenly shouted while looking up at me.

"Yes really!" I frowned as I tried to copy his tone of voice.

"When then? Next week? Next month? Next year? When we're a couple, married looking after our own kids? When we are sat watching TV one night when our kids are all grown up? When we are grandparents? When one of us is lying on our death bed WERE YOU GOING TO TELL ME THAT YOU NEARLY DROWNED THEN?!" I felt warm tears well up in my eyes. I'd never seen him like this before. He was properly angry! I started to shake but I soon composed myself.

"Closer?" he laughed and shook his head. "Closer?"

"Yes, closer. As in not just friends.....best friends. Best FRIGGIN' friends Tom. And yeah maybe you're right. Maybe when we are a friggin' couple or married with kids." There was a brief pause of heavy breathing. "I...I d..didn't think it was that important....."

"YOU DIDN'T THINK IT WAS IMPORTANT?!" I rolled my eyes as he continued to shout.

".....NO!" I sat up and shouted. He looked bewildered.

"...I could have died yes. Which is why I'm gonna tell you what happened." I patted a space next to me on his bed indicating that Tom should sit next to me. That he did. "Ok, you ready?" He nodded. We were both shaking uncontrollably.

"Ivory hurry up and get changed!" My aunt shouted at me through the next door changing cubicle. I am only 7 and learnt how to put on my swimming costume only a few weeks ago! She has been shouting at me a lot lately.....I don't know why! My costume was too tight but I still managed to put it on! Clever me! I waddled outside to find my auntie on her mobile phone-again! She keeps texting this man. His name is Derek. I don't like him. He's my aunti'es boyfriend....

...He hurts me. I don't mind though. I just cover up the scars and little cuts and bruises! Ever since my aunt met him, she's been acting weird. But I still love her! I followed her to the outdoor swimming pool. We used to come here at least two times a week! But now we only come once a month. Sometimes once every two months. Today it was just meant to be me and my aunt, but Derek was coming along too. I rushed off to the pool but my auntie grabbed my wrist to stop me from going anywhere. I started to cry. It really hurt though! She bent down so her eyes were focused on mine. "Now you listen here little madame. If I catch you running off by the pool side again, I will be cross with you do you understand?" She pointed a finger at me and jabbed it into my chest.
