Last night was great. We went to Frankie and Benny's after the movie and I had spaghetti and meatballs as Harry had some strange goat's cheese wrap. I was so happy by the time I came home that I didn't even think of the awkward moment Harry and I shared in the cinema.
I went to school the next day and Miss Valentine approached me after class, her wide smile making me smile lightly also as Harry barged out of class quickly but stood outside to wait for Clyde. "Harley, your knowledge of the book we're reading is outstanding. It's like you can get inside of the character's heads and describe what they're feeling."
I happily sighed once I realised that I wasn't in trouble for anything and continued to listen to her. "It appears that one of our students is struggling with understanding the concept of it. I'm not forcing you but I have a meeting in ten minutes and I can't stay to help. So, I was hoping you'd spend thirty minutes of your time with Clyde-"
My mind went blank after the name Clyde. I'd do anything to spend time with Clyde. He was truly the most attractive person I've ever laid eyes on. And it wasn't because he was what you would say 'hot'. He just had something about him that made me like him. Maybe it was his crooked smile and brown eyes. Or his light brown hair that made me want to run my fingers through it. He was so tall for his age and I loved the way he looked down on me when he gave me stares. He was just... holy.
"I'll do it." I immediately spoke, and Miss Valentine smiled in success. She turned to the side and I gulped when Clyde was standing in the door way, and an angry Harry stood opposite.
"Please don't tell me you're ditching me for this." I heard Harry sternly ask him just above a whisper.
"Jesus, Harry," He replied, and I flinched as he used that word. "I'll only be a little while. Why don't you just wait in here for me?"
"Okay," Miss Valentine cheered a little, and she turned her eyes to Harry and smirked a little. "You all behave. I'll be back later."
I awkwardly shifted to a desk and felt myself get nervous as Clyde slyly made his way toward me with a grin. "You're my tutor then?"
"Y-Yes." I stammered. Harry rolled his eyes and went to a desk. Just as I thought he was about to sit in front of it and wait, he climbed on top and lay on his back before tiredly getting out his phone to play on.
"Mate, you can't just lay on tables."
"Shut up and read your book." He replied.
I was silent as he got out his book and put it in front of me. "What's it about?"
"Well, it's a love story-"
"I'm stupid so you'll have to explain it to me slowly." He spoke and smirked a little after. His eyes were magnificent.
"Well, basically it's about-"
"Why don't you just watch the movie?" Harry's voice interrupted our date and I scowled.
"A movie takes out a huge part of the book." I snarled before tucking my chair in tighter. Clyde sighed and rested his chin on his knuckles. He smiled at me as I went through the book with him for over five minutes, and I genuinely felt my stomach fill with nerves as he barely even spoke to me.
"Well, I'm glad to have you as my tutor." Clyde neared his face into mine a little more. I giggled nervously, and he gave me a funny look before I awkwardly coughed and went back to the book.
"Your eyes are so big." He observed me and I didn't know what to say. I only nodded a little as he smiled wider.
"Everyone says that." I whispered.
