PLAYLIST: The Killers- Mr. Brightside (on repeat :P)

- Joe's POV -

Some people say that there is no equality. Some people are just more lucky, and some people are just...not lucky at all. But everyone, every single person will get at least one light from luck at some point in their life. I believe Caspar is my one gift that luck has granted me. And if it's the only thing luck will ever stroke me with, well, I couldn't be happier.

Caspar and I were laying side by side, on our laptops, stalking twitter.

"What are we still doing here?" I asked, suddenly.

"What do you mean?" Caspar tilted his computer screen down to turn and look at me.

"I mean, I doubt we're going to go to Disney. All we've been doing it sitting in the hotel room. I think it's time we went home." I answered.

"Huh. I suppose you're right." Caspar said, as if the thought had never struck him.

The hotel room door opened, and Caspar screamed, jumped, and grabbed harshly onto my arm. I would have laughed if it hadn't hurt so hard. His hands gripped my arm so hard, I saw my skin whitening under his grasp.

"Oh my God, Caspar. You scared me." Zoe said, placing her hand delicately over her lungs.

"I scared you? You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Caspar said, defensively. His hand remained on my arm, but his grip loosened.

"My oh my. Well if it isn't Zoe Sugg!" I said, fake shocked, "What deed have we done for you to grace us with your presence?"

Zoe shot me a look, "Always the jokester, Joe. But in all seriousness, Alfie and I were wondering if and when we're ever going to go to Disney?"

"Oh my God!" Caspar said, grinning, as he turned his head from me to Zoe repeatedly, "OH MY GOD!" He repeated.

"Caspar?" Zoe said.

"You and Joe really are siblings! He had just asked the same thing." Caspar said, laughing. I didn't find it all that funny, but I smiled along with him.

"We'll probably be heading back home tomorrow." I said, "You guys can go to Disney if you'd like, but I think I'm gonna pass." I'd already been there anyways.

Zoe shrugged, "Suit yourself." She turned around, and Alfie came into view, "You wanna go today? We can go get Troye and Tyler."

"Wait!" Caspar and I said at the same time, "You might not want to barge right into Troye and Tyler's room." I said.

"Why not?" Zoe asked, a confused look on her face.

Caspar and I looked at each other, and couldn't contain our laugher, "Reasons." Caspar said, with a sly smile.

"Oh come on guys, tell us!" Zoe begged, as she stepped further into the room, sitting on the edge of the bed, Alfie joining next to her.

"All I can say is that they're a lot closer than we thought." I said, with a wink. I liked knowing something that Zoe and Alfie didn't.

"Details, Joe! I need details!" Zoe's eyes were shining with confusion, as she pleaded.

"You're gonna have to beg." It wasn't often that I knew more than Zoe, and I decided to take advantage of this rare occasion.

She stuck her lip out, and widened her eyes, "Pleaseeeeeeeeeee?"

"Is that seriously the best you can do?" Caspar asked, laughing.

"You guys are cruel." Zoe said, crossing her arms in annoyance.

"All right, all right we'll tell you." I said.

"Nooo let me tell her." Caspar covered my mouth with his hand, as I struggled to remove his hand.

"What the fuck, Caspar?" We all turned around. Tyler, Troye, and a small group of young girls were standing at the door. The girls stood there, shocked expressions on their face.

"None of it is true. It was a joke." Troye said to the fan girls, before shoving Tyler in the room in front of him, then slamming the door behind him and locking it.

Tyler stomped over to us, one hand on his hip, "Are you fucking joking Caspar? Troye and I were in the hall when fans found us, and we were all going to meet up you guys since they were all huge fans. Then you just yell out something personal like that? Oh my God. I can't believe I was even friends with you. That's just low, even for you."

"Tyler," Zoe said softly, "They didn't know you were there."

"That doesn't make it right to just spill that secret!" Troye yelled, furiously.

"It was Joe's idea." Caspar pointed at me. Was he seriously doing this? Tears burned into my eyes. I felt a small but unmistakeable flame of angry start in the Pitt of my stomach.

"Way to through me under the bus. Anyways, I wasn't the one who yelled it. That was all YOU." I said harshly. Caspar's eyes were shooting daggers at me.

"Whatever. You all suck." Tyler said, before waving us off and exiting the room, Troye right behind him.

"Well. That was awkward. I think this is the point were Zoe and I take our leave as well." Alfie said. Zoe opened her mouth to say something, but Alfie dragged her out.

"Thanks a lot for pointing the finger at me, Caspar." I spat at him. The flame in my stomachs spreading, getting hotter.

"Well you turned right around and threw the blame back on me. Don't play innocent. It's always about you, isn't it Joe? You don't care about anyone else, you're so self centered!"

His words would have hurt if I wasn't so angry and aggravated.

"You think you have the nerve to call ME self centered? You're the most vain person I've ever met! The only things you do are things that you know will circle around to help YOU. You're the one who doesn't give a shit about anyone but yourself! Who jumped the cliff, and risked their life to save you? Oh yeah, me! And when the roles were switched? You stood there like a little bitch. And took all the glory. You disgust me." The words I screamed had an aftertaste of poison. I immediately regretted letting them slip out. I wasn't mad at all at Caspar for not saving me. I held nothing against him. But I got so heated in the moment, that I said the first thing I could think of that I knew would hurt him. I was horrible. The fire was burning my soul.

"Good night, Joe." Caspar said in an angry monotone. He got under the covers of the bed, and turned his back to me. He didnt bother changing into his pajamas.

I really wasn't up to changing so I switched off the light and walked over to the other bed. The bed that Troye and Tyler shared. And as I layed there, I wanted nothing more than to apologize to Caspar, and make everything right again. But my pride held me back.

"So... We're friends right?" I felt tears spilling out of my eyes, as I whispered Caspar's line.

"No, I don't think we are." I heard Caspar's voice mutter.

The pain in his words shot straight to my heart. It broke the angry fire that had been sitting in my stomach, and replaced it with sadness.

I had lost it. I had lost my one happiness. I had lost my one lucky stroke in my life. I had lost Caspar.
