Perhaps life is an art, an enchantment, a fairy tale, an adventurous story trimmed with alluring episodes, an act with players who seem to be what they are actually not. We cannot, however, expect people to accept the make belief which some actors try to fool into believing.
When we feel fractured, redundant and nonessential, only bouncing back from lowliness may brighten up the story of our life. In this endeavor, "otherness" might lend a helping hand in making the road less parching.
However, if reshaping a life style boils down to pretending and dwindling into a world of make-believe, living may turn into a schizophrenic merry-go-round and the real self might be crunched and munched on, piece by piece.
A popular song describes the situation well in: "Adrift in a world of my own, too real is this feeling of make-believe, too real when I feel what my heart can't conceal, just laughing and gay like a clown, I seem to be what I'm not."(The Platters & Fred Mercury)
