My eyes rolled around in a daze, as I tilted my head up a bit, feeling as though my brain had been stuffed with cotton. My body was stiff, my throat was dry and my stomach felt empty, as though I've been sitting here for a long time. I couldn't make out much other that the fact that I was someplace dark. There wasn't a scrap of light to tell me where I am, which was all the more frightening. My fingers twitched first before I could move even slightly, but that didn't seem to matter anyways because something held tightly to my wrists and legs.
I was tied to a chair, I'd guess, but the binds didn't feel like rope. A few extra tugs, and I was able to conclude that they might've been thick cable ties. Now fully awake, I became more frantic in trying to break them, but it only caused pain to my skin. I eventually stopped because of how much it hurt and hissed at the ache in my head as it lulled back only to be suddenly blinded by an overhead light. Squeezing my eyes shut, I bend forward again and blink the dots out of my vision before squinting ahead of me at a staircase as a familiar voice spoke out from the top step.
"Awe, look who's finally up from her nap." Nothing compared to the instant dread I felt as the figures of Liam and Ethan descended to my level, the redhead chuckling softly. It was then I tried to speak— More like shout, only to realize there was a fabric gag in my mouth. I struggled against the restraints again, attempting to toss the chair onto its side in hopes it would allow me to scoot away from the two while simultaneously trying to remove the rag with my tongue so that I could scream for help.
"Hey, hey, hey, take it easy!" Laughing still, as though the situation wasn't bat-shit crazy, Liam reaches forward and sets a hand on the back of the chair to steady it, leaning over me closely. I froze and reeled back in my seat to the best of my ability, my eyes wide and full of terror as he bent down to my face. "No need to get all worked up," he claims while taking the gag out of my mouth. When the fabric falls, my jaw feels locked. "You don't have to worry about us." I can't help but glare at him. I have every right to be freaked out right now!
"No need to worry?" I spit back at him in a hoarse voice mixed with spite and fear. "You blew up the fucking school, and on top of that, you kidnapped me, and I woke up in some shitty murder room! What the fuck do you mean I have nothing to worry about?!" Tears welled up in my eyes, and I felt instantly sick as I thought of all the dreadful things they might try to do to me in here. I couldn't imagine the reason for bringing me in being anything pleasant. They have something up their sleeves, I know it! Liam steps back, his hands raised in surrender.
