Time for Action or maybe not......

The phone rang once.... Twice... Three times......four times then I hear my mums sweet comforting voice saying hi I responded mum come home quickly I was halfway through what I was saying when my mums voice replied please leave a message as I cannot come to the phone right now. What was I supposed to do I can't just leave a message my mum must be in a meeting, there is a stranger outside my door and I was helpless and unaware of anything to do I knew I was dead.......
