A/N: Soooo we're here. Weird to think that since our June release that we're now in OCTOBER (it is where I live and I'm screaming over baseball so yeah, IT'S OCTOBER) to finish up the novel. That's partially my fault as I was not writing the chapters as fast as I had wished or like I had for the first one. School as well as my new job consume 99.9% of my day. I hardly have any time to read let alone be on Tumblr anymore and for that I'm sorry.
Just as the last time, I'm fairly certain that most of you are going to be ticked with the ending, but hey, you guys have been coasting since they first kiss, why not throw a bit of tears into the final chapter? The Epilogue will be released tomorrow... just remember: no story is ever safe until after the final scene. The song represents my theme song for Loki.. and obviously it has double meanings ;) FEELS CENTRAL!!
At last, here is the final chapter for Disguised Beauty.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The armies had all but retreated when Sigyn and Loki had landed in the medical bay of the palace. The ward had been covered with Asgardian warriors, some dead, some dying and others on the mend. Eméra had come to Sigyn, seeing the blood on her and Loki.
---
“Prince Loki… please come with me.”
“No.” The Prince snarled. “You will treat Sigyn first, and do not waste time prattling on about the customs and rules of Asgard. I am the Prince and you will treat Lady Sigyn first.”
Eméra looked startled as Loki threatened her with the sheer tone of his words. The handmaiden was shaking slightly, and Sigyn could see her dear friend was terrified.
“Loki do not threaten her! She is only doing as she is tol-“
Her head began to spin and her breathing became unsteady. Then, she fell unconscious against Loki’s body. In no time, he scooped her up and was following Eméra who was already leading the way to an empty bed in the back. He set her down and Véar rushed to her bedside, asking Loki questions about the wound without looking up. He answered them just as quickly as she asked.
“See Lady Eir at once Loki. I have no intentions of being rude my Prince, but you look quite pale, even for you.”
Loki was about to protest when he suddenly felt a sharp pain shoot up his side. Véar went to him, staring up at him with her brown eyes.
“Sigyn is in safe hands and will be here when you have been attended to. Go.”
Growling slightly at Véar, he obliged and walked to Eir who was already waiting for him a few beds away. She motioned for him to sit and waited for him to use his magic to remove the top of his leather outfit. Thankfully, he obliged and she began to wrap him. Eir was about done when all hell seemed to break loose.
The shouts of Véar alarmed him to something being wrong with Sigyn. He turned rather quickly to which Eir scolded him he needed to remain still till the stitches and magic took effect. He placed his hand lightly at his side and began to murmur words to heal himself.
Normally, he would have disobeyed, but when Eir was working he had learned that it was not in his best interest to go against the healer. Mustering up a last bit of energy, he fired it into his body before walking towards the bed he had last seen Sigyn in. The top of his torso was taped up as he made his way towards the direction of Véar, Eir and Sigyn.
