Laughs interrupted your casual afternoon, as somebody knocks on your door.
You grumble, what could be THIS important?
You open the door, looking at your group of friends as they held out a perfectly symmetrical arrangement of cookies and candies.
"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" They all cheered.
You felt your eyes tear up, I-I completely forgot it was New Years Day...
You smile at them as tears rolled down your cheeks, Susie tackles you into a hug along with Lancer as she gives you a noogie.
"D-don't cry (y-y/n)!" Ralsei sputters, hugging you along with the other two.
"Happy New Year," Kid states, smiling at you. Wow. He actually smiled for once in his life. That's an accomplishment.
"You shouldn't really insult someone in front of them, you know that right?"
"HAPPY NEW YEAR KID, HOW YOU DOING? GREAT, IT'S REALLY GREAT," You frantically change the subject. Everyone laughs.
What an amazing way to start a new year.
