Padawan Lost ~ AU (1st Installment of the Padawan Series)

Chapter 33

"Go, you must and take your Padawan, Skywalker and Ahsoka, to Kamino." Master Yoda said to Master Kenobi as we all stood in the War Room. Ahsoka and I stood side by side, talking casually about a recent riot on Tatooine involving the Hutts.

"No way that bounty hunter killed Jabba's son." I said, baffled by Ahsoka's accusations.

"It's true. There are rumors throughout the Council whether or not to intervene!" Ahsoka retorted.

"We're already in a war." I said pointedly. "We do not need to rally against Jabba or with some bounty hunter scum."

"I say we fight." Ahsoka said. "We need to show control over the Hutt trade routes. They are in our allegiance. What good are we if we cannot control the people who are sub-superior?"

"You're just like Anakin." I joked.

"And you're just like Obi-Wan!" We laughed. It was true, our Masters imprinted on us, and we replicated them closely. I was more of a negotiator, while Ahsoka followed Anakin's aggressive and controlling techniques.

"Andora!" Master Kenobi snapped, sensing I was not at all listening to Master Yoda. I pursed my lips and looked up. Ahsoka grinned beside me and I gave her a hard nudge.

I looked at her and glared. We both tried to suppress laughing. Our relationship was hard to explain. We were like sisters, best friends, and brothers in arms in all one package, similar to Anakin's and Obi-Wan's relationship.

"Thank you Master Yoda." Master Kenobi said and motioned for us to follow him out of the War Room. I walked behind my Master as Anakin and Ahsoka followed side by side behind me.

"So. What's the mission?" I asked curiously.

"You weren't paying attention, were you?"

"Not in the least bit!" Ahsoka interjected from behind me. I closed my eyes and grimaced.

"Andora, you know those meetings are important."

"I know, I know, but Ahsoka wasn't paying attention either!" I tried. He didn't buy it. Ahsoka was practically a Jedi Knight now. She had already passed her trials, but she still fought on her Master's side.

"We need to round up our clone squadrons and move out. We are going to Kamino." Master Kenobi said as we headed for the Docks.
