I took the money I had left over from before I went to jail and put it on an apartment. I saw it as giving the final piece to my past away. It was small studio apartment but it was nice everything was in one room but to me I saw it as the biggest accomplishment.
"Ooh baby I'm so glad you let me decorate!" My momma cheered walking around the apartment. I smiled and crossed my arms and looked out of the window.
"We gone have to get some of these decorations out when Kai starts walking." I told her looking at all the hazards. We had been here all night decorating and now I was heading off to school.
"Okay mama I'm go to school and I'm gone bring Seven by to check out the house." I told her and she shrugged.
"You are still mad at her. Y'all need to start talking again." I told her and she rolled her eyes.
"I missed my only grandson's birth. I'm just now meeting him. He's so precious to me." She grinned and I hugged her.
"That's even more of a reason to let it go. Do it for me and Kai. And you know Seven she wouldn't hurt you on purpose." She made a face like she was thinking then she looked at me.
"Okay I will, bring her to to apartment this afternoon." She told me and I kissed her on the cheek then grabbing my stuff.
"Alright am we will be here after school." I said on my way out the door. I walked outside and to my car. I got in but before I could start my car I saw someone running towards my car. It was Hazel.
I unlocked my door and she got in.
"I'm so glad I saw you can you believe the bus driver left me." She said breathing heavy and wiping her forehead. She looked so tired.
"Was you out there on time?" I asked then started my car and pulled away.
"No I was doing my damn eyebrows. But he still ain't have to leave me." She said with an attitude but it was cute.
"Well then he had the right to leave your ass." I said laughing and she punched me in the arm. It felt like I pinch so that made me laugh a little harder.
