Chapter 3: Tart

I slammed my hand on the alarm clock. I opened my eyes staring out the window. I got up closing the curtains. I got back in bed placing kisses on his cheeks. "Wake up baby," I said lightly shaking his shoulders. Jace was so spoiled every time I wake up he's in my bed when he has a whole bedroom across the hall. He opened his eyes "Hi mommy" he said in his cute cuddly voice. "Hi honey, time to get up time for camp," I said. He excitedly got up jumping up and down. "Go brush your teeth," I told him. I walked in Morgan's room to see her curled up in a ball. "Your stomach hurts? How bad? I asked.

"I didn't get any sleep," she said. Her health was heartbreaking for me. I couldn't stand to see my baby sister like this. "You take your medicine? I asked.

"I forgot," she said. I rolled my eyes. Morgan is a challenger; she does what she wants when it comes to her health. I take her to the doctors all the time. I stay on her about her medication but at the same time, I try to give her independence and look where we are. "Morgan you can't wait to the pain gets here to take your medication. You need to take your pills every morning. I put them by your sink there shouldn't be a reason why you're not taking them" I said. She didn't say anything she just pressed her face into the pillow. "Do I have to go? She whined. She was in dance camp and it was only a month left until she and Jace go back to school. I wouldn't be surprised if she was playing fake sick just to sleep in but you never know with her. I always believe her when I don't believe her. I went into her bathroom grabbing her pills. "Here" I handed them to her. She scooted up taking it. I handed her water bottle "Listen if you're carrying on like this, you're not going to that sleepover. I need you to take your medicine you're a big girl now. How am I going to know if you'll be okay in a whole another state if you're not doing what you're supposed to do" I said

She scoffed "I'll be on it" she said. "As you should, you can stay in," I said. She was old enough to stay by herself now. She knows how to cook essentials. "Don't tear my house up" I said

"I'm going to sleep" she turned over putting the covers over her head. "Make sure you eat somethin-

"Josieeee, of course, I'm gonna eat," she said. I rolled my eyes she gets irritated when I stay on her case about things but gets mad when she gets sick. This child! "You better, love you," I said

"Love you more," she said. I closed her door. I walked in Jace's bathroom to see him brushing his teeth. "You still brushing your teeth, that's enough" I laughed. "All clean" he stuck his tongue out. I turned on the shower watching him go in. I sat on the edge of the toilet unlocking my phone. My notifications were booming. I went from 78k followers to 120k. My mouth dropped I was also verified.
