"Get the fuck out of my apartment! Get out before I call the cops!" I screamed at Ned.
"Wait, Peter! Let me explain!" Ned tried.
I sniffed at the cold trying not to cry the third time in a day. Everything felt like it was falling apart and no matter what I couldn't keep the pieces from falling. My feet pick up the pace as I neared Stephen's house. Hopefully, I can get him to understand.
I knocked on his door and waited for an answer. Feet padded up to the door before the front door swung open. Strange stood there in PJs and a slight frown. My heart thundered in my chest, it felt like I was doing something wrong.
"Peter? What are you doing here?" He questioned. The way he said it made me feel inferior. Like I was smaller than he was.
I plastered on a fake smile before speaking, "Um, I wanted to apologize, I didn't know Ned would do something like that. And I understand if you don't want to see me anymore." I rubbed my hands together anxiously.
Stephen sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose with his eyes closed, "Peter, we can't see each other while you're a student of mine. It would get us both in big trouble with the staff. I was careless for even trying in the first place. Your friend made me realize that, anyone could've found out."
"Yeah, I understand." I bit my lip, "I just wanted to say that I was sorry for everything." Strange nodded and began closing the door, "We can still, well when I graduate." I trailed off and wanting the chance for him to realize just how important he was to me.
Stephen smiled sadly, "Goodbye Peter." He spoke shutting the door.
I nodded my head and rubbed the tears from my eyes. Rejection hurts way worse than the movies.
