Felix quietly stepped into our hotel room holding his side and sat next to Blake. Ever since he woke up he didn't talk much. He mostly kept to himself and only really talked to Blake. I was determined to break that. I wanted to know what happened that night that took him out.
----------------------
I laid back in the soft bed and closed my eyes, Ghost hadn't been able to fully heal me yet. Something about Darkness corruption or something. Not sure how much of that I believed. I took a deep breath and felt an immense pain in my side. I winced in pain and felt Blake's hand on my right arm.
"I'm fine," was all I managed to get out.
She nodded and closed her eyes. I rested my head back and heard Yang speak.
"Hey Blake," she said, "can you come help me with something?"
"Sure," Blake answered, gently getting up off the bed after planting a kiss on my forehead. I smiled a little and laid there. I heard some footsteps that were followed by a door shutting. I then heard Weiss' voice.
"So, Felix," she started "can I ask you a question?"
"Shoot," I replied without opening my eyes.
There was a silence for a moment, which was soon broken by her question "what happened in the woods?"
I opened my eyes and looked over at her, she had a look of... worry. I glanced over a Ruby, who was sitting in a chair and listening to music, but was now listening to my reply. I sighed, sat up, and looked at her. "You two really wanna know?"
They both nodded and I looked down.
"I... er rather... we had a run in with the White Fang..."
"What?" Weiss commented "they shouldn't be out this far."
"Well they were. And we pushed into their camp to flush them out. But we... underestimated their power there."
"Can..." Ruby started "I see the scar?"
I nodded and lifted up my shirt far enough to show a two inch wide scar several inches up my gut and then one stretching from my side to the center of me. The stitches were still in and were slated to come out in a month. I needed to limit movement and physical activity until then. This really hurt our team's morale. Noah was starting to think our party idea wasn't gonna happen, but I had other plans.
I'm getting ahead of myself though, we'll get there.
I put my shirt back down as Yang and Blake came back into the room. I turned to them and noticed a third person with them.
"Hey buddy," Noah said with a smile "enjoying some time with the little woman?"
"Yeah," I replied laying back down. "You doing the same?"
"Of course, gotta comfort my woman."
Yang playfully punched his shoulder and let out a giggle. I smiled and felt Blake join me in bed again. She snuggled up to my right side and rested her head on my shoulder.
"Night, bro," I commented, starting to drift away to sleep.
"Night, brother," he replied.
"Night, Felix," Ruby added.
"Night."
"Night, Weiss," she also stated.
"Goodnight, dolt."
"Hey!"
"Just get to sleep, we head back to Beacon tomorrow."
"Goodnight, Weiss," I chipped in.
